When it comes to Solaris VS. The End, I always had the opinion that Solaris was more powerful (given Solaris turned all reality into a Void, almost instantly, & exists in the Past, Present, & Future & required multiple people & “steps” to kill it off & even requiring Time Travel, to vanquish a threat, at all, usually means the threat is THAT powerful, Story-wise), but what do you think?
SXSG even showed Solaris’s “parts” still existing & may even still exist after SXSG & I don’t think The End is ever coming back, though, of course, “never say never.”
While Solaris's only real observed feat is destroying reality because it was in a pissy mood, outside of that its normal function is that of an omnipotent Sun god with dominion over all of time. It is also not proven to be inherently malevolent. Soleanna'ians still have festivals worshipping it in the epilogue of Sonic 06 after all. If anything, Elise blowing out the flame that was its manifestation in the mortal world only created the time paradox that erased the events of the games story, but Solaris itself likely still exists and is maintaining the linear flow of time. In fact I'd go so far as to say Solaris DEFINITELY still exists, given the boss fight against Mephiles in Shadow Gens.
The End definitely still exists, all they defeated in Frontiers was one "incarnation" of it. It may never be able to influence the mortal plane within our lifetime, but it cannot possibly have been destroyed in totality.
So with all that being said, the concept of Solaris fighting The End is certainly intriguing. They're sort of metaphysical opposites. Solaris is a Sun god, and The End manifested as the Moon. Solaris maintains the equilibrium of linear time, The End is a sapient void that wants to unmake all of existence. Their physical incarnations that were fightable in game also seem relatively equivalent in size.
Probably a toss up. Who wins: the Alpha or the Omega?
The answer is Sonic. Sonic would win. Sonic would just beat both of them up lol.
