There was always some sort of work to be done. Today it was mostly hauling off trash to be burned. Between the people and animals around, there was plenty of it that he was piling onto the trailer. The person watching him didn’t bother him at first, but he eventually glanced over at them. “You gonna help, or just sit and stare all day?”

Tae hums as he sits drawing out a new tattoo idea in the game room. There was a movie playing, a bit too loud for his sensitive ears, but he wasn’t paying it any mind. There was enough going on to keep him occupied, but he loved the chaos. It was at that moment that he added to it, knocking over his pack of expensive coloring pens. “Aw, dammit!” he exclaims, his chair skidding on the floor as he rushes up to collect them all before they roll away under couches and other furniture to be lost forever.

“Well, the one thing that I didn’t expect about living around this many people,” she wrinkled her nose, “was all the smells all over the house.” They weren’t good or bad smells, just smells.  She tried to ignore them, but when she was paying attention, it was almost overwhelming.

“I do not understand or care about what you are talking about. Have you seen a blonde idiot? He is likely stuffing himself with ice cream.”

“It might be a cliche,” Kenda snarled, turning to look at the intruder, “but it’s true. A picture would last longer, so stop fucking staring.” She had been enjoying the small moment of peace in the one place in the damn ranch that she could stand: the basement. The punching bags gave her a way to productively get out her anger, and also her extra energy. Being under ground, it was cooler and generally less populated, which appealed to her as well. The downside? It was open to everyone in the pack. She rolled her eyes, turning to glare at whoever it was interrupted her.

“The thing that no man ever saw, the thing that never exists, but will always come to be? Such a fun puzzle,” Bridie babbled as she ran a hand over the walls and the bannisters and getting a literal feel of the place. Such a new adventure always excited the already excitable fae.

“Look, I don’t want to tell you what to do, but I wouldn’t get too close to her if I were you. That one’s kicked at me and tried to bite me at least twice today.” Leander had only been on the ranch a week, and most of the time was spent trying to get his feet under him. But the one thing he had learned was that the bay mare with the bit of white on her nose was not a nice horse.
