tonight’s eurovision semifinals have given me the distinct feeling that I’m watching some kind of paranormal battle between mythical creatures play out. I mean, so far we’ve had vampires from romania, forest spirits from norway, whatever the hell that group from iceland is, and Lucifer himself rising up from hell to don some cheesy golden wings. us mere humans are but pawns in this ancient battle for popularity and worship.
