Heyo friiiend! I feel like i blink and I see you in a different class! Which have been your favorite so far?
Samurai has been my favorite DPS, it’s really simple to begin with (lv 50 rotation is a clinically approved sedative), but then gets really fun after a couple of levels. It never really stops being simple, rather it becomes wholly interactive, because then you can start weaving the various Hissatsu in the middle of your combos, meaning you have to mind your gauge and optimize your combo routing to deliver maximum face punches of peerless caliber. Also it is VERY pretty looking. I think SAM is interesting in that it’s not complicated, just very involved, and that’s why you see a lot of bad SAM I guess: If you have a lv 62+ SAM only doing Midare, then you have a problem. Ya boy (or girl) HAS to be using Hissatsu’d Higanbana and keeping it up, and HAS to be weaving Hissatsu damage dealers mid Gekko combos and the others. All in all, it’s fun just doing huge numbers and looking pretty while doing so, and it keeps me the fuck awake, because I have to mind the weaves and the meter, lol.
I’ve only tried Conjurer/White Mage for healing. I have a big love for the classics, and White Mage is the classic of the classic healers, honestly. It’s the healer that heals. Pump out big numbers, accrue lilies, blind your static with Holy spam, what’s not to love.
No Tank has been bad, honestly: The fact that, as a tank, you hold a lot of responsibility, is already cool. I’ve not tried Paladin and I don’t think I will for a while, but so far, Warrior was fun, I feel like the ice cream man, handing out the aggro cones to everyone in sight, but I feel like it got really dull after a while, because most of its spicy stuff is locked on lv 70+. Dark Knight has been my go to class in general (played all of Heavenwards as DRK), it’s fun as hell, I love the mana management aspect and the funky tools it has, also, the story and the aesthetic. LOVE me the Dark Knight looks. My only complaint with DRK is that its animations lack oomph; they have pretty particles, but the motions themselves are very floaty, and I feel like I’m swinging around a pool noodle instead of a MEATY HEFTY metal sword. It’s a minor complaint though. I just started trying out Gunbreaker yesterday and it’s pretty fun, it controls like a DPS but your role is to Tank, which I think is pretty swell. It might be my new favorite, but I need to use it more to have a more concise opinion.
