Was showing my kid the new Star Fox trailers since she was interested in the games after the Super Mario Galaxy movie, and I only noticed on rewatch that in the prologue movie Peppy called Pigma a "traitorous swine."

Given that these are anthropomorphic animals, and "swine" only applies to one species in the setting, I'm pretty sure that old man was yelling a slur.
