𝓔sme noticed Alice’s increased excitement, and she wondered if her gift allowed her to see very far into the future, months or even years. Could she already see them as a family? Despite any reservations had currently, did all put them aside to welcome two strangers who would become family?

         ❝Well… In any case, I am sure you have traveled some ways to meet us. May I show you where you can freshen up and stay, for the time you are with us?❞ She wanted Emmett and Rosalie a chance to talk, and there was no telling how Edward would feel about two new additions to the group. She did not think he would be adverse; after all, besides Carlisle he had welcomed the most individuals into their family. Esme suddenly wondered if Alice had intended to come when Edward was away, almost as if to prime the family first. Perhaps Edward would take the most convincing. Esme stood and motioned toward the main staircase, smiling at her guests.

     Alice already knew this place like the back of her hand thanks for the various visions that she’s had of meeting them for the first time but of course she wasn’t going to comment on that. It wasn’t polite after all. She gives Jasper’s hand a soft squeeze as she nods her head. “That would be lovely, Esme. Thank you.” that bright smile still on her face as she stands. A hand reaching to grasp Jasper as he stands with her. She already knew the room that would be there own but she would wait to do all of that after the four of them spoke together. She was already intruding. No need to make it worse.

she was clearly still fidgety around others besides Carlisle, but he had begged and begged Garrett to come and meet the woman who had taken him by such surprise. He could see why. She had unparalleled control as far as he had seen and the kind smile she bore him made his heart melt. She was too nice almost , too generous and affectionate that he would have thought her crazy for being alright with this curse. Maybe it was because she had found her mate so early, someone to love and adventure with for all eternity.  She had offered to give them some time while she ran to the store, to keep up appearances, and as soon as she was out of vampire ear shot he couldn’t help but turn to Carlisle, “ You’re a lucky son-of-a-bitch. No one deserves a woman like her. not in this lifetime or any other. . .  but if it had to be someone, well i think you’ll do, my friend.”

on days where she is reminded again everything that he did to her sweet gentle Esme secretly wishes she had killed Charles herself. She's managed to keep it even from Edward and never told Carlisle ;-;

Though the Egyptians all looked so alike, with their midnight hair and olive-toned pallor, that they easily could have passed for a biological family. Amun was the senior member and the outspoken leader. Kebi never strayed farther away from Amun than his shadow, and I never heard her speak a single word. Tia, Benjamin's mate, was a quiet woman as well, though when she did speak there was great insight and gravity to everything she said. Still, it was Benjamin whom they all seemed to revolve around, as if he had some invisible magnetism the others depended upon for their balance.

Carlisle had been living France before returning to the United States and he chose to move to Columbus, Ohio. He had chosen Wisconsin for it’s climate somewhere he could be out most days without having to hide from the sun. Taking up a job at the local hospital Dr. Cullen being the new doctor had been given all the new patients or urgent care, he didn’t mind working late or on the weekend. Today he was treating a sixteen year old girl who had fallen out of a tree and broken her leg. Carlisle walked into the patient's room only after knocking. ‘Forgive my intrusion, I am Dr. Cullen, Dr. Hays is out of town so I will be treating you today. Tell me how you fell out of a tree?’ he pulled up the stool to sit in front of the examination table so he could look over her leg.
