Confession: I'm really struggling with PvP in ESO but I'm scared to ask for advice? As much as there are great people in the fanbase, Elder Scrolls fans also tend to suffer from 'lol git guud son you're just not a REAL gamer and that's why u suck' dudebro syndrome.

mod note: gonna generally recommend some PVP tips/build guide videos on YouTube. I don’t know which ones for PVP specifically, but perhaps some commenters will?

July 16th, 2020 - i unlocked the best black dye in the game after years of off and on pvp then they introduced an even blacker black with the new pve solo arena 🤣

Does anyone else get absolutely terrified going into Cyrodiil or the Imperial City? I don't PVP all that much and holy shit is it scary, I whole heartedly admit I'm a shadow cloak cripple.

Hey, don’t give advice that wasn’t asked for, especially if you don’t know what you’re talking about!

I’m just gonna give a little mini rant here because this is a prime example of why I don’t like MMO’s.

I was doing a Battlegrounds to get my daily bonus EXP, and before the match even started this dude immediately stands next to my character and says “oh gross a pet-sorc. That build is ass”

The match had not even started, we didn’t know each other, and I didn’t ask for him or anyone else to critique my build. (which he didn’t even know.)

I ask him “who me?” and he proceeds to talk about how sorc’s in general are the worst, and “most useless” of all classes throughout the whole match. We came in second, but we could have gotten first if this dick had stopped talking and just played the game.

1.) We’re on THE SAME TEAM. I don’t know why he immediately decided to start roasting his own teammates before the game had even started.

2.) He didn’t know anything about what my build was, just that I was a sorc. He made it sound like there’s only one sorc build in the whole game, which just goes to show how little he knows about the sorc class. (I wasn’t playing as a pet-sorc, just a regular mag sorc dps.)

3.) Just because you’re not good at a specific class doesn’t mean that class is inherently bad, it just doesn’t match well with your playing style. Personally I’m not good at Dragon-Knights, I’ve tried twice to make one, and I’m just not good at them. Does that mean DK’s are useless?? No!

4.) I didn’t ask and I didn’t care. I scored more points than him, and I still like sorc characters.
