Out of the two main love triangles in Ninjago—Jay, Nya, and Cole and then Wu, Misako, and Garmadon—I find it so funny that it’s the old people love triangle that actually makes sense.

Like, the brothers both had a crush on Misako, Wu sent her a letter, Garmadon stole the letter and signed his name, then gave it to Misako as if it was from him. Stupid, sure, but at least it made more sense than the other one!

Cole never showed any interest in Nya other than friendship and so did she UNTIL that stupid love-match thing (which my in-canon explanation for that was the overlord messing with them) and we never really got an explanation for Jay and Nya breaking up in the first place??? They seemed to be fine dating in seasons 1 and 2 and then sometime I guess in the time skip they just broke up??? It was just the stupidest plot point and I will forever be salty about it.
