Aftera while, Brainy’s not impressed.

Butof course, things change, and in this particular case, right after Thanksgiving(a trend that’s becoming expected, after it’s happened now three years in arow), it’s a portal to Earth-1 appearing in Kara’s apartment again, and Barrytelling her he needs her help.
“Youcan bring your sister, too.” He says. “There’s one new hero, helping us out- Ithink she’d like her.”
Karanods, but she can only think of one other person. She can’t wait to see hisface, when he sees it…
“Ofcourse, Alex is coming.” Kara says. “No way she’s passing up an opportunity tosee Sara again. But hey, can I bring one of my other friends?”
Barrysmiles.
“Idon’t see why not.”
“Well,okay. He might look a little weird. But trust me, he’s actually really nice-not to mention pretty much the smartest person in my universe.”
“Smarterthan Devoe?”
“Who’sthat?”
Barrylooks uneasy.
“We’regonna have to catch up once we get back to Earth-1.”
Karasmiles, patting his arm. “We sure are.” She says. “I’ll be right back.”
Barryrelaxes, as Kara quickly leaves her apartment, flying to the DEO.
“Alex!Brainy!” she says, the two of them immediately turning around, noticing herpresence in the room once she gets there.
“Whatis it, Kara?”
“Well.”Kara starts. “Barry just showed up, he needs us again. And he specificallywanted you to come along.”
“Bothof us?”
“Yeah!Of course! I mean, why wouldn’t he?”
“Wait.”Brainy answers, holding up a hand like he’s waiting to be called on in a class.“I’m afraid I don’t understand. Who exactly is this…“Barry”?”
Karaonly smiles, walking over to his desk chair, and pulling him up from it. He’stoo surprised to sit down again, and as she looks at him, his confusion isreplaced by happiness.
“Brainy.”She says, holding his hands. “How would you like to go to another Earth?”
Heblankly stares at her, not moving or speaking.
“IfWinn were here, he’d probably say something about Brainy being unresponsive,and shutting down, or whatever.” Alex says.
“I think I’m gonna take that as a yes.” Karaanswers. “Now, come on. Barry’s waiting for us.”
