Oh, what a lovely day! The girl leaned back and sighed contentedly. Today was nice -- the morning light seeped in from the window with the intensity of an excited teenager, for one, and the campus itself just felt livelier than it had the past couple of days.
Or perhaps... she had simply gotten used to it by now. Being outside, being away, being lively. Perhaps the world seemed lively because she had reintegrated herself into it. Perhaps the world seemed lively because she had broken out of her home, in a way. Well, breaking out was the wrong way to put it.
She couldn't see herself as anyone important, because in real life she wasn't quite important enough. She was important to herself, yes, and important to Ringo-chan and her parents, but to anyone else, was she really..? Maybe to Double-H, but other than that...
Other than that, she'd been forgotten. But that was okay! It's not like she wouldn't have seen it coming. She had been sick, and for a great amount of time. But never mind that -- she was all better now!
Happy and smiling! That's what she was! Even if she wasn't the most important person, lowly police officers did have to do their jobs! Today was to be an absolutely wonderful day!
Himari bolted upright with this new resolve, and smiled brightly, jumping off her bed lightly with little effort. She wanted to do something fun, new, exciting! Something she's never done before! That sure narrowed it down. That was sarcasm -- right?
Was she using sarcasm right? Was she, was she? She was! She was glad. She was getting the hang of it -- again. She's been out of practice. Himari yawned, and found herself walking out of her room and out to the cafe!
She sort of glanced around, enthusiastic, and sat herself down right in the front, a radiant smile plastered on her lips. She was happy, just happy, because today looked to be a really really nice day! A wonderful day! She could almost taste it!
The ginger looked to her left, and saw... oh! Was that -- was that Sayaka Maizono-chan? The idol? She'd seen and heard so much of the girl's work; she had all her albums, too!
Due to her, well, condition the past few years... she'd never actually been able to see her perform, live. The girl was quite alright with that! she never expected to meet her here, though... Himari found herself smiling again. Even if she didn't strike up a conversation, just seeing her was nice! Maizono-chan seemed so collected and ready to face the world. She sort of envied that.
But she admired it more. It was a good trait that looked good on anyone, regardless of whether or not they'd admit to it.
Considering this school was populated with people from all over, Komaeda actually recognizing someone was actually a matter of rather large importance.
He had been wandering around, trying to get his bearings as he studied a map for the umpteenth time, when a particular girl caught his attention. He blinked, staring, because--wasn't that the idol, Sayaka Maizono?
She was here too? He certainly wasn't worthy of this school now.
And then--whoops! Their eyes met because she suddenly looked over as if she could sense his shock.
Oh boy. What was the best thing to do? Ignore her? Wave? Well it looked like she was walking over, so he ducked his head down and placed his shyest smile on his face, speaking as she neared.
"Sorry, Maizono-san, I didn't mean to stare. I just wasn't expecting to see anyone else from Japan here." He really shouldn't be taking any of her time, he thought. Someone like her was a sun, a blazing star in the face of his pallid, dying glow.
