Lovely Laverre || AZ & Sabrina [EVENT]

If AZ was being honest, he had no idea how he got signed up for this... thing. What was it called again? ‘Blind dating’? Someone had offered him a flyer on the street, seemingly unfazed by his stature, and AZ signed up for it, unsure of what it actually was. Now, he was faced with the consequences of his actions: he would soon be meeting some sort of person to spend a “date” with for a few hours. AZ was semi-familiar with the term ‘dating’. At the very least, he knew it had something to do with romance, though it was stressed to him that it didn’t have to be if he didn’t want.
Well, friendship was fine for him. AZ just appreciated having a person to talk to every once in a while. He couldn’t imagine he was particularly fun to be around, but if he could impart some wisdom, or learn something new, then maybe it wouldn’t all be in vain. He’d try, anyhow.
AZ had been assigned to a nice little cafe in Laverre City. It was cute, but, well, little. His head easily scraped the ceiling and so he hung low, hunched over, unsure of where to go. The chairs looked small too... it was almost as if he were in some kind of dollhouse more than an actual building. The barista behind the counter was very apologetic, but AZ was fine, really, just waiting for someone, do not worry about it.
Finally, he settled on the decently sturdy-looking couch propped up against one of the walls. He sat down and the couch creaked but held its own against him. Good. If he had to stand any longer, his neck and back would have been sore all day. AZ leaned back into the couch comfortably as he waited and waited patiently. He ordered nothing. Coffee was nice but he didn’t have much money on him. It was better spent on his, er, “date” or, barring that, some kind of necessity.
The bell above the door jingled with each entrance and exit. Few people came in. AZ supposed most were enjoying the day, Valentine’s Day, whatever the significance was for it. He wasn’t actually sure. Something romantic. Soon, there was another jingle from the bell, and AZ’s gaze drifted towards the entrance. The woman who entered seemed to be looking for someone, and he had a feeling that he was that person.
He stood up, the couch creaking again and regaining its former shape slowly. His head bowed, he approached the woman.
“I don’t suppose you’re looking for your blind date,” AZ said with a curt nod. “Because... I think it may be me.” A pause drifted between them. “Forgive me. I’ve never done this and I’m not sure what we’re supposed to do. But I hope this can be an enjoyable experience for the both of us. Would you like something to drink?”
