11 you can only drink one liquid for the rest of your life - what is it? I feel like water is the really obvious answer here so if I couldn’t pick water I think I’d pick either chocolate milk or jumex mango juice!

12 do you like hickeys? I’ve never been given one!! it’s so neat though how they’re like a physical memory and I think I’d be pretty good at hiding em bc I wear so many turtlenecks already!

16 do you always answer your texts? yes!!! I feel like I’m the person who always responds super speedy and tries to keep the conversation going (I’m getting better at just letting conversations go though bc sometimes there’s rly nothing more to say?)

Hey to all the Pulp Babes and poetry lovers! My name is Essine, and I’m the new Pulp Zine poetry editor. As my first job as new editor, I wanted to restart one of my fave things about the zine: Late Night Poetry Club. This collection of poem from staff and guests based on a monthly theme is going to be AMAZING, and I’m so excited for everyone to read the totally incredible submissions! This month’s theme is Leaving– I chose it for a bunch of reasons, BUT, one of the main ones is that September represents a lot of different kinds of “leaving” to me. Whether it’s the retreat of summer, leaving behind an old school or grade or age, September is filled with a lot of beginnings. Leaving isn’t always physical either, though– it can be mental, imaginary, small, gigantic. It can cause growth, and sometimes destroy it. Nearing the end of September, when my first dose of leaving has just begun, I think it fits perfectly. – xoxo, Essine

I've definitely been fat my whole life, but I only found out about fat positivity when I was nearing 14. When I first entered into fat acceptance, I was exclusively shown what were considered the “flawless” fat women: white, small, extremely fashionable, cis, hairless women with traditionally “beautiful” curvy bodies. I felt isolated, as a size 22, super tall, totally hairy fatty, and I was still filled with lots of shitty fatty self hatred because I would see rarely see my bod represented
