Mortician was the macabre and dark figure of the group. They appealed to the sensibilities of those who appreciated gothic aesthetics and brooding anti-heroes. Secretly a softie, Mortician was always the one to consider the team’s lives and the cost of failure. A morbid pessimist with a heart full of love, Mortician fought to keep their team safe. Mostly silent except to say a few words of wisdom, Mortician was the one who kept the team from making bad calls. Because if Mortician said no to a mission, everybody listened. With the new threat on the rise, Mortician dreads each update. They want to block it all out, to resume their normal but solitary life that they’ve worked so hard to build over the past twenty years. But they can’t stand by and watch the world burn.
Mortician is known for their dual long blades. Somewhere between swords and daggers, the silver blades are kept in their sleeves when not in use. Mortician is trained in martial arts and moves fluidly. They often favor sneak attacks and will strike from a place in the darkness or behind a barrier. When performing ranged attacks they use small throwing knives. If Mortician has selected a target the victim will not know until the attack has already begun. Mortician is in charge of weakening the enemy by targeting weak points so that another team member can deliver the final blow.

DRUID - Mortician goes back and forth between respecting Druid and completely ignoring him. Druid is the annoying, frantic, and desperate voice in Mortician’s ear that distracts during battles. Mortician has always been more of a solitary figure so thinking back on the times when Druid would nag into the comms makes Mortician’s head hurt. Mortician wishes Druid wasn’t such a control freak.
MONARCH - Back when the team was in action Mortician resented Monarch. Monarch always rushed to the aid of Starscreech and Captain Kick and she made it clear that Mortician’s injuries were second priority. Mortician thought that Monarch’s whole ‘goody two shoes’ shtick was just an act. But for the past fifteen years Monarch has been checking in on Mortician and they’ve begun to reconsider their stance. But she still seems to be starry eyed and naive in her relationships with the other team members.
STARSCREECH - Mortician is suspicious of everyone on the team despite his love for them. Starscreech is the one that perplexes Mortician more than anyone. A powerful liability, Starscreech is the team member Mortician estimates is most likely to defect and be a threat to the team. Despite how Mortician thinks Starscreech is a fair and intelligent being, Mortician wonders if one day the team might do something reckless that will turn their most powerful member against them.
