Little doodle inspired by Mother of Pearl's Pre-fall collection. Loving the subtle Boy Scout influence. Guess which one of my favorite films she drew inspiration from!

Thank you tears.
A spread from Every Body Be Grateful
I had a wonderful time illustrating this book and am so thankful and blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this. As a young girl, loving certain things about my body wasn’t the easiest at times. I grew up hating my skin discoloration and have tried to hide it until recently. This page is to show that we should even be thankful for our tears. Most people associate tears with weakness, but it is actually extremely healthy for us and helps us process things so we can keep living with open hearts.
Working on this project helped me realize that I should be grateful for the body I was given. I’m able to wake up every morning, taste, smell, touch and hear amazing things daily. We rarely take a moment to be thankful for our body, because we are so concerned about what it looks like instead of the amazing things our body does for us.
Hi Everyone! What a beautiful weekend to be grateful. I wanted to share a children's book I just illustrated that launched this week: Every Body Be Grateful It's an interactive story to say thank you to each part of the body, even tears. It also encourages ourselves to love our bodies whatever shape, color and form it may be. You can visit www.everybodybegrateful.com and even download the accompanying lullaby from the website. Just in time for the holidays, it's a perfect gift for children and adults to help exercise gratitude for the body that works so hard. Share, support and leave a nice little review on Amazon if you must ;) Venetia Pristavec is the author of this book, and she is always trying to spread positivity through various projects. Let's start being grateful and start loving our bodies!<3
