Synopsis: You were missing something, but you couldn’t figure what that something was. Falling in love with Howzer helped ease the mysterious ache, but something was still.... Missing.

“You’re spacing off again” his smooth voice sent your mind reeling back into action, your eyes snapping up to meet his instantly. Howzer plopped down across from you, waiting for further instructions from the druids on where to go for training. You already finished your training, your sheer strength surprising them and causing them to whisper about you.
You were only human, why were they acting like you were something more?
Looking down at your hands with furrowed brows caused Howzer to sigh and scoot towards you. “You always have too much on your mind my love, what's going on?” his lips pressed against your cheek, his own eyes observing your fingers as if that would give him the answer to what was going on in your sweet mind.
“Something doesn't feel right... I feel almost unstable”
It was true, ever since the ten commandments came back your body had felt like it was on fire. Meliodas began to look at you as if he knew the answer but couldn’t tell you, it irked you. “Would you love me if I’m not human??” It was a stupid question, considering he had previously liked someone who was a giant... The thought caused your heart to lurch in jealousy, but the chuckle against your skin calmed you instantly.
“What a dumb question... Of course I would” his nose began to nuzzle into the flesh of your neck, hoping that his clingy behavior would calm down your thoughts. But they only raced faster. Nothing felt right anymore, his skin against yours no longer felt like home. Your lip trembled in the thought of losing him to your stupid change of heart.
But you weren't thinking of Howzer when you said that, so who the hell was this man?! Your mood darkened and the sky began to darken in response, as if it was reacting to your emotions. “Looks like it might rain” Howzer commented, pulling you closer to him as he saw you tremble. He didn't notice it, the fact that the wind began to pick up and that your emotions and thoughts were spiraling dangerously out of control. It was too much, it was all too much. Slamming your eyes shut, you pulled your knees up and hid your face in your arms.
This power coursing through you, what the hell was this power??
“Y/n!” Your eyes shot open, as Meliodas’s scream hit your ears. Looking around you, you noticed that Howzer was no longer beside you and that the wind around you swirled violently. Your hands trembled as Meliodas broke through the wall of wind, it was happening, it was finally happening.
“Meliodas! W-whats happening to me?!” it broke his heart, the tremble in your voice and the vibration of every nerve in your body. He was finally reclaiming you. “I need you to calm down, because what's about to happen will be scary but you’ll be alright” Meliodas screamed out, hand gripping yours as he laid you down. The wind calmed a bit at his touch, but everything still felt so violent.
“Reclaiming me?” you whimpered out as Meliodas screamed for others to stay back, you weren't stable and could kill them. But you wouldn't kill them, so why could you kill them. “Estarossa, he's my brother and a ten commandment. He's calling you back to him” Your eyes were wide as saucers as you searched for Howzer, where was he, you needed him more than anything now.
“Why!? Why is he calling me?!”
The broken look on Meliodas’s face made your stomach sink, he lied to you. You didn’t know how or why, but the man you trusted the most had lied to you. “I wish I had time to explain it all to you, but you aren’t human and you are much older than you think.” Vomit rose in your throat as a new pain rose in your chest, you felt like you were going to be ripped into a thousand pieces and you didn’t like it. “You lied to me?” you whispered out, trying your hardest to ignore the pain searing throughout your body. Meliodas gripped your fingers, wishing he had told you sooner but it would have been futile, your memory was erased every ten years, it's been that way for 3000 years.
“He won't hurt you, you’ll be safe with him” Meliodas pressed, ignoring your acussary words and instead trying to guide you into safety. All of your memories were about to be restored, and it was about to get violent. His words snapped you out of your daze, now feeling the pain full force as you let out a scream. Your back arched, head thrown back as the blood curdling scream only grew more violent. You could see Howzer fighting against Gilthunder form the corner of your eye, causing more emotions to mix with the pain.
“Close your eyes now, I’ll see you soon” You shook your head, struggling to stay still as you fought to stay awake. “NO, I CAN'T LEAVE HIM” Meliodas sighed at your persistence and brushed some of your hair away from your face, “Howzer was never your soulmate, you have to let go” Your lips trembled before another scream was ripped from your chest, you didn't want this. Didn’t want to leave the man you loved more than anything. The fight you were putting up began to grow futile, the pain finally causing your eyes to close.
And then, it all stopped.
The pain stopped, in fact, you felt whole again. Your eyelids were heavy, despite you trying to force them open. You were in a pair of arms, but the scent and heat of the man told you it wasn’t Howzer. Yet it felt like home.
“3000 years, and the sight of you still makes my heart race”
The sound. His voice. His touch. It felt so familiar... No, it was familiar. His thumb ran under your eye as he cooed for you to open them up, he wanted to see your pretty e/c eyes again. “I think it's time to restore your memories, maybe then you’ll open your eyes for me” his hand splayed against your forehead, ready to restore the memories that he took away to keep you safe.
A bright light flashed in your vision, your back arching as images flicked before your eyes. The emotions filling your body caused you to whimper, both from pain and love. He was the something you were missing. Your hand found his free hand, intertwining your fingers as tears flowed from your closed eyes.
Slowly, the hole in your heart began to close as love bloomed from your once aching chest. All the memories came to a halt, and your eyes began to open. The white haired man above you smiled, love in his eyes as he wiped your tears away.
His smile widened, the sound of his name falling from your lips reassuring him that you were still his. That even after all he's done to protect you, you still loved him. Sitting up in his lap, you took in the ones surrounding you. Zeldris was close by, the usual pout evident on his face as he looked at you lustfully. Oh yeah... You forgot about that. The feeling creeped you out, causing you to curl into Estarossa for protection and warmth. He chuckled, telling Zeldris that his staring was scaring you, yet the middle brother did not avert his gaze. Cuddling in deeper to Estarossa’s neck, caused Zeldris to scoff before turning to leave.
Even 3000 years later, you’d still have to watch out for him. “Hes gone now...” Estarossa cooed, pressing light kisses along your forehead as you brought yourself from the comfort of his neck. The way he was looking at you caused your heart to race, momentarily making you forget about Howzer...
Shaking your head, you forced your lips against Estarossa’s feverishly. 3000 years of missing something finally coming to a head, he was the missing puzzle piece. He broke from your hot lips, “Miss me Y/n?” his teasing tone caused your cheeks to heat up, but you only kissed his words away. The growl that flew from your throat caused his hands to grip your hips tightly. You had to get Howzer out of your head, he wasn’t the one. Pulling from his lips, you cupped his cheeks lovingly. He leaned into your touch, love and admiration the only emotion swimming in his eyes. You had to forget about Howzer.
Or Estarossa would surely kill him.
