Today was the day and Elias was going to be sick. He actually had to excuse him during a powerpoint to try and gag up in the toilet, but couldn’t draw anything out of his system. Julia kept him posted throughout the day, telling him when they departed, landed, and were heading towards Evelyn’s office. The Moroi was beyond surprised the family came, but wouldn’t question it. His spirit user of a sister was a magician and could pull off anything given a few days. However, as he made his way towards Evelyn’s room, his stomach dropped.
Two, muscular, tan men guarded the doors and Elias would bet all of his assets two more were inside with his family. Did they bring their dhampir guardians too? The men looked at him, gaze cold but allowed him inside, noting his arrival. As soon as he walked inside, he truly did want to vomit. He was right but wrong, instead of two more inside, there was four; one for each family member. He nearly choked as he sat down on the edge, flush against his sister. His parents didn’t seem too thrilled with his lateness and his older brother probably didn’t even know where he was. However, he didn’t get a snarky retort from his mother, which was a nice change up.
Julia looked over at him apologetically, her eyes screaming that no, she didn’t want the guards here either but it was either this or none of them would come. Looking up at Evelyn, he flashed her a weak smile. “So uh, are we ready to get started?”
