Opinion on EstCan?
Never seen it and want the local Estonian's notes on it
EstCan!
I have seen art of it like, once, and I do find it an intriguing ship!
From the history I found, Estonia and Canada have quite the history when it comes to the Soviet days.
There is history even before that though, little pieces like Estonian settlers during Interwar coming to chill in Canada. For example one known Estonian commander from the War of Independence Johan Pitka settled in British Columbia near Fort St.James and lived there for a few years, nowadays the area is named after him with Pitka bay, creek and mountain. Even before independence there was settlement at places like near Sylvan Lake 1899-1904.
During the USSR, countless of Estonians escaped to Canada, which can even nowadays be seen with around 24k to possibly even 50k (according to some sources) Estonians in Canada. For such a small people that is a big number.
There was a lot of movie making and literature that took place there, and in 1972 Canada started ESTO days, also known as ECD meaning Estonian Cultural Days. This would turn to be an incredibly important event for it would gather Estonians outside Estonia from all over the world to remind and celebrate our culture and serve as a reminder to not forget their homeland. It was a source of hope and a way of keeping the flame of the Estonian people, their culture and language, alive. ESTO days would go on to take place in the USA, Sweden, Australia, and once Estonia regained independence in Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Germany too.
In regards to Hetalia, I can picture that Estonia found the whole thing incredibly touching and meaningful, and it proved to him that Canada could make a good friend. They're definitely at least on friends terms with each other. Estonia definitely wouldn't ignore Canada or forget him, and they likely connect on things like nature. There's definitely mutual respect present between them and I think it would make for a sweet and peaceful ship.

"Estonia, I don't understand. Where are you taking me?" Canada trailed along behind him, her hand clutched in his as he slowly smiled and placed a finger to his lips.
"It's a secret." He then turned back around, and very soon, they found themselves outside a small café, quiet and gentle, with a soft piano coming from inside.
