Electors Voting Today, Call on Them to Dump Trump
Today is the day! There are protests being organized for every state capital in the country, where the electors will decide who will be our next president. If you can make it out to one of these, you can bolster support in person and, if you can't, sharing these events (as well as hashtaging #dec19, #electoralcollege) and talking about why the electors should vote for Hillary instead of Trump, will maximize exposure for folks who are like-minded and may not yet know about this massive, growing coalition.
The reasons for the blubbering orange idiot to be shut out of presidential life are so vast and obvious. Its been to the point of parody, ever since he first opened his unqualified, shock-and-awe, garbage mouth. But hey, here's a list of what's been chalked up so far:
1. He has never held a position in government, civilian or military 2. He has no political experience 3. He has no experience in lawmaking 4. He coasts on unfounded, reactionary hate speech to rile up shallow impulses that lead to misguided anger and obscuring of the true issues this country faces 5. There has now been a torrent of allegations, including from the CIA, as to Russia having a hand in tampering with our election process, favoring Trump 6. He's a fragile narcissist that can't handle criticism 7. He's threatened the rights of free speech and freedom of the press 8. His cabinet choices are filled to the brim with nepotism, with deeply unqualified individuals who are known racists, hold big corporate interests, are homophobic and beyond 9. He currently has many pending lawsuits filed against him, some of which include charges of sexual assault 10. He refuses to share his tax information 11. He has obvious conflicts both with his financials at home and his hands in foreign interests 12. He has no real plan for his presidency, other than turning the white house into an overtly elitist, wargaming, special interest playboy club 13. He already shrugs off presidential duties, including attendance of national security meetings 14. There are bipartisan efforts to investigate all the shady dealings he's involved in
Republican electors should take note of all these things when casting their ballot today. Additionally, they should consider that Hillary is very center left, to the point of basically being a moderate Republican - particularly when it comes to foreign policy and the aspects of the economy. But most importantly, she has worked in government for decades at basically every level you can think of. She is intelligent and dignified, the traits we need of a leader, regardless of party affiliation. Peaceful protests around the country: https://www.facebook.com/events/219210221855920/
