Hello! I really like your fate OC, she is very pretty! I was wondering if you have a profile or some sort of lore document because i’m interested in knowing more about her background and character~ Thank you very much~
Thank you so much for liking her!!! It really makes me happy 🥹 I’ll link the document which used some of FGO’s formatting for Bond and lines.
It doesn’t capture all of her lore but enough to provide information about her! Feel free to ask me anything as well ^_^
“Oh darling, your god complex is acting up again.” Estelle Rozenkrantz ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Also Known as: Elle, Scarlet Star, Lord of Flames, Malkuth,
Have you used Estelle in other fate media too or only FGO?
Yes actually! She has a version in Case Files (where she has her family as a treat, and she’s running around as a tiny gremlin during the events of the series and eventually grows up to be engaged to Kirschtaria to escape her Sealing Designation. Since Chaldea doesn’t exist and she doesn’t want to leave her family behind, she ends up in a fake proposal to dupe Clock Tower’s Carillon Observatory.
I have another version of her in the MoonCell for the Extra timeline, where things get complicated because her physical body is hidden under the Pacific Ocean and “sleeping” while records officially consider her deceased. Rin in Fate Extra, along with other mercenaries, were actually hired at some point to guard her before they parted ways and she was declared missing. The irony is that even though mana has depleted in that timeline, Estelle exists and serves as the last “string” to thaumaturgical systems, but is now kept out of reach of humanity forever (unless Pacific Ocean dries up). Her Extra self, in the Mooncell, is registered as an NPC made in her likeness.
I dont have much art of her though 😭
I think in general the idea is she’s there in Fate media, but she never interferes because she minds her own business most of the time :D
ok so hope this isnt rude but how exactly can estelle have a normal family (seen tw posts) if shes an amalgamation of topics that I can't even start to point out.like the whole has an god inside of her and worshiped by gaia has me wonder
It’s not rude at all anon ^_^ Thank you for the ask even though aaa it took a while for me to get to!
Also this may be long again whoops! TW for some bad things (light mention of human experimentation and gore) but nothing explicit!
She actually never had a normal family since they (the Rozenkrantz) were a dying mage bloodline who were desperate to preserve their lives and lineage they turned to atrocious practices to survive– mostly dealing with unethical human experimentation and trafficking. Like her family is the textbook definition of “evil mage” because some of them also partook in cannibalism. They’re basically the Bathory household in modern time, using their power and money to amass victims.
Ellie’s birth is a little more complex in terms of explaining why the way she is, but her being given these “gifts” (a body made to manifest god in modern time along with having authorities from Gaia) made her extremely out of touch with people and it really stunted her emotional development. She can’t understand people’s emotions or how complex they are because she sees humans as being “small” and “trivial” compared to herself. They are “not worth considering.”
However, she isn’t outwardly malicious nor does she have any intent to hurt people. She doesn’t go out of her way to kill or anything like that, but she has no problem doing it because people around her normalized it. Nobody told her “no” or that it’s wrong to hurt people, and she lacks the empathy to feel the pain she causes on others.
Marisbury knew this and essentially used his blood relation to become her legal guardian for his own purposes but mostly also to teach her about humans. And while Marisbury is like /that/, he is brilliant and methodical, instead exposing Estelle to things that reflect the goodness of humanity. If she’s around good people, surely she would learn and understand. So for most of her teenage to early adult years, she was running around Clock Tower unabated, but not harming anyone. While still far from having good upstanding morals, Ellie developed attachments to people (namely Kirschtaria) and she reflects their values instead. Kirsch doesnt want her to hurt others, so she wouldn’t, because she thinks its wrong, but because Kirsch doesnt want her to. In FGO’s timeline, it takes her an extremely long time to learn to be kind, to love like humans do, and she really grapples with her humanity because she chooses to live like them and forsake everything else (like the god within her, her authorities).
your oc is so beautiful!! I was wondering, how is her relationship to all other crypters besides kirsch? does she have a most favored, or most hated, etc? im kinda invested!!
(sorry if this has been answered before, im only a recent follower! 🙏)
Hi anon! Thanks for the follow! I was waiting for someone to ask honestly, I love the Crypters so much 😭
I’ll talk about them from order of closeness! Estelle doesn’t hate any of them during their time in Chaldea so I’ll be talking about that rather than what happened in the LBs. She generally maintains a friendly relation with all of them. Sort of.
WARNING: THIS IS LONG TOO. I’m so sorry.
Pepe: Estelle sees him as a fashion icon and they indulge in many self-care sessions together. Think fluffy bathrobes, manicured nails, hair wrapped in towels, sipping on fancy wine while Michael Bublé plays in the background type girls nights out sessions. Pepe and her love to gossip and even try on makeup on each other. Chaldea’s halls are desolate but the hall where A-Team’s quarters are is quite lively because of these two. Pepe is like a doting mom figure to Estelle and she holds a great deal of respect for him and his high heels! Also because Pepe was the only person who managed to beat her in hand to hand combat, Estelle doesn’t dare underestimate him one bit.
Ophelia: Heaven help a fool who falls in love, am I right? Estelle is Mash’s teacher, and that’s the only reason Ophelia put up with her at first. Estelle drags Mash into her shenanigans, much to Ophelia’s embarrassment. She basically wants to help Ophelia make more friends. They did bond over Wagner’s operas, but given Ophelia’s introverted personality, Estelle does most of the talking. Now the most interesting is that Estelle, despite being insane and possessive, didn’t feel anything hostile toward Ophelia who deeply admired/crushes on Kirschtaria, only saying things like “I can’t blame you, he’s just that sort of person.”
Beryl: Put these two in the same room and it’s either a party or a nightmare. Beryl claims to be friends with others and gets along with them, so naturally he and Estelle would be friends! He also claims to understand Estelle and her love and he believes that she shares his perspective of the world - and even praises her love and dedication to Kirschtaria. But in the “I’ll root for you, so don’t get in the way of my love, okay?” way. Estelle actually thinks he’s really funny. They share similar aesthetics too, but she tells him she’s not “scandalous enough to show off her ankles” like he does. She didn’t get to find out what he did to Mash until much later and she was quite pissed about it.
Daybit: Estelle and him can have the most profound conversations about magecraft, phenomena, metaphysical level things that are difficult to understand. Estelle is interested in him purely because she doesn’t understand what he is and she likes people who can hold her interest like that. They’re less than friends and more like acquaintances, with him being aloof and her being more outgoing and energetic. She made Area 51 jokes when she found out he was from Nevada but he just stared at her for five whole minutes straight before going “...Try again.” Ever since then, she became determined to find a joke he would find funny. So far with no success. Even though Kirschtaria helped her :(
Hinako: Hinako always turned down Estelle’s request to hang out because she really didn’t find any use in Estelle’s company. She was warned in being close to Estelle by Marisbury because Estelle likes anything out of the ordinary and will tear it apart to understand it. And Hinako is beyond ordinary. Not that she had any intention in getting close to Estelle who didn’t mind being rejected so many times. Estelle always throws an offer to Hinako’s way for a tea party, dinner or spa because she knows it’d make Pepe happy if she showed up.
Kadoc: This poor boy is absolutely terrified of Estelle and makes sure to always steer clear of her. If he disliked Kirschtaria because he thought Kirschtaria was the epitome of mage ideals, then Estelle is infinitely worst in that regard. Kadoc is keenly aware of others around him, his inferiority complex aside, and he just gets the worst vibes from Estelle. He’s right though because his survival instincts kick in around her. She believes that the strong should dominate - so Kadoc barely entered her line of sight. She didn’t hate or shun him or anything, she just forgets he exists and when she notices him, he looks so squirrely and she thinks he might pass out. Kirschtaria would point it out sometimes, but that sends Kadoc into a bout of anxiety and thinks Kirschtaria is picking on him, when that’s not the case.
I do kind wanna know how Estelle and Caeneus interact though, what are your thoughts on their dynamic?
Oh! I can answer this! It may be a bit long though, I’m sorry in advance! I like to ramble a lot.
Firstly, I’d like to say that Estelle is deeply involved with Kirschtaria in that they were really close childhood friends, so Caeneus, who has seen Kirschtaria’s memories (according to From Lostbelt Cae chapter at least) - would know Estelle from that. But he’d know her from Kirschtaria’s perspective. He thinks his loser (affectionate) Master is stupid in an almost-admirable way for being able to turn his back on those fond memories but in a “if you even dare consider going back to that woman, I’ll kill you” type of way. Cae knew that Kirschtaria wouldn’t be able to hurt his dearest friend like that, but they had a goal and Cae needed Kirsch to remain steadfast. It was for his revenge too, after all. Your love or your dream? He made sure his Master knew the consequences of the wrong choice.
Up until Atlantis, Caeneus taunted Estelle to no end, laughing in her face and almost relishing in her misery, because it was absolute repulsive how Estelle was so obsessed. Especially when he realized she would do anything to get what she wants, and is just as pathetic and cruel as the gods who lorded over humanity, the gods of Olympus themselves. For many reasons. Caeneus can’t believe the one he sees in Kirsch’s memories/the woman he spoke about. Because if so, how blind was Kirschtaria Wodime to not see how inhuman she is?
And then Olympus happens, and Estelle disregards him because she’s so single-minded that she just blasts through enemies and allies alike. This is basically where Caeneus’s annoyance with her peaks, but at the same time he is thrilled at the destruction she’s leaving behind in pursuit of her so-called beloved. They did team up in many fights but also clashed a lot because they got in each other’s way, but never outright harming each other. At this point, Estelle wasn’t thinking straight because uhhhh Kirschtaria confrontation in Atlantis went very bad for her. Simply put, she arrives to the conclusion Kirsch is being brainwashed so Olympus was a speedrun for her to save him. Oof.
The final battle between both, after Kirschtaria dies, however, was the most violent. Estelle was absolutely livid because she thought: why was it not me who was by his side and vented that frustration in that fight. Her rage, her despair, her anguish, and her belief that a world without Kirschtaria should cease to exist - Caeneus met her head on because he has his own beliefs to stand for, he has Kirschtaria’s beliefs to fight for. What better than to fight to the death with the one Kirschtaria adored the most, the only other person who understood him? So they put everything in that fight and Caeneus disappears, but not after hearing Estelle’s final words:
“Thank you for being there for him.”
Caeneus only laughed at that. He lost, yeah, but the one left to pick up the pieces is the woman drenched in tears and blood. She’s stupid. Just like his Master. But this is fine, a suitable (albeit frustrating) conclusion. Meanwhile, Estelle was grateful that Caeneus was there for Kirschtaria and took comfort in knowing he never bore his burdens alone. She wouldn’t know what he’d gone through, but she’s somewhat relieved knowing he trusted someone enough to rely on them, no matter how hurt she is it that it wasn’t her.
When Cae gets resummoned in Chaldea, I like to think they have this unspoken bond that stemmed from being connected to Kirschtaria. Estelle wouldn’t be ready to ask Caeneus what happened but Cae also wouldn’t tell her a single thing. She doesn’t need to know that he saw Kirschtaria’s withered body falling apart on itself, or the fact he planned to die as the last human, or the way Kirschtaria yearned to save the world with his friends until the very end. Caeneus has too much respect for his Master for that, and it’s the least he can do. But Estelle does fall apart after Olympus and that’s a whole other mess so... ;w;
TLDR: They fight and get mad at each other but they become really good friends in the end :’)
