The forest was vibrant. Nothing like home, but respectable enough. The tall Vierra moved stealthily through the boughs. Eyes locked on the cabin in the distance. She felt a pull the closer she got. Surely this was the right direction to be going in. Still, the closer she got the more alert she became.
Voices. She did not move one heeled foot as she listened. A sob was heard. Choking words. Perhaps Fven was too late. She pressed on a bit more, silently coming out of the wooded area into the homes clearing. Immediately, an arrow was fixed upon her. Once more she stopped, holding up her hands to show she had no intent for harm.
“Elias brought me here,” Fven mentioned calmly, “Time is not on our side.” The bow wielder flinched before lowering the weapon fully.
"Come inside quickly, then," the woman responded before placing the bow down. Her other hand motioned for a child hovering at the front door to get out of the way. The Vierra wasted no time, moving with long strides into the humble abode.
It didn't take long to find a man laying on the bed. Sweat pooled on his brow. His grip tightened on bedsheets barely covering his large frame. Fven moved closer, reaching into her bag to pull out a light blue stone as she approached the infirmed Highlander. Reaching him, she knelt beside him and took one hand. Opening up his palm took effort, but she was able to place the soul crystal inside of it.
"Elias... you will fall again, and you will end again. Until then, fight. With all your might, fight.”
Gray eyes watched his face as her hand felt his tighten. A soft glow escaped from his fist. A small gasp caught her attention. Turning to the door, she saw the same child that was in the doorway before. “In time, his knowledge will be yours. As he intended, should you choose it.”
