I really do hate how privileged discourse has gotten to such a state that people view things like transitioning as a "privilege". Framing trans women, especially trans girls (legally harder to get HRT/blockers) as "privileged" for transitioning makes about as much sense as calling people on antidepressants privileged for having medications they need to function. Trans women and girls are some of the most marginalized and trans girls (under the age of medical maturity) often have their autonomy paternalistically ignored and either resort to grey market sources for estrogen/T suppression or jump through unnecessary and dehumanizing hoops to access their medicine.
Nobody in their right mind condescendingly talks down to women able to get on birth control and calls them privileged because some people can't. This type of talking in my view is fundamentally a clever way of obfuscating oppression and blaming victims for their paltry gains.
