What is ET Ideas, ET Youth and my social life?
This is something I wrote about on the 14th April 2015. Reposting it upon request.
The following similar scenarios have happened a number of times. Never really felt like writing about it. However, heart say write and post it….. so here it is…..
Couple of days back I met up with an old friend. We were catching up on things and an interesting topic came up. He observed that I have a very active life. I was taken aback because I didn’t know what he meant. He laughed and said that my Facebook account is filled with activities. He was talking about my personal FB page and of course the ET IDEAS page and ET YOUTH page. I laughed when I heard that. “I didn’t know I was attracting that much of attention” I said, with a wink.
He was intrigued by what I did. So, I gave a summary of what I do. I explained that with ET IDEAS (http://www.ET-Ideas.com), my team develop individuals to start businesses and guide them to success using Laws of Nature (http://www.AscendancePro.com). Over the last 6 years we have now about 26 different companies. Some are very successful, some are getting there and of course a few have just started recently. We have companies with a wide range of product and services available. We have companies involved in tourism, chocolate making, teaching chess, creating awareness and so on.
The idea is for them to become successful and have time and money freedom. Once they achieve this, they can choose to do whatever they want with their time and money. Most choose to use the time to discover themselves, the purpose they are here and so on. I suppose my friend was quite impressed with this and asked me for a bit more details.
I gave him an example of one of ET IDEAS entrepreneurs who achieved time and money freedom this year. I started working with her in the year 2008. She was an underpaid accountant and was also working on to be a unit trust agent. However, it was not working out for her. We started working on an idea and developed a business helping new companies and start-ups. We covered the areas of proper management, handling accounts and also provide advisory on the health of the company and ideas to help them grow.
She listened and applied the ideas we came up with including also ideas on her managing the money she earned from this new business properly. Over the years, her business grew, she saved more and invested wisely. Today, even if she doesn’t work, her investments returns are more than enough to cover her monthly expenses to live. At this point my friend asked whether she still worked or she just rests. That’s the interesting part, she is taking up more challenging and complicated accounts to improve her skills. She is also looking to train a gen Y to eventually pass her business to. She spends some time on holidays and of course has started on the path to discover herself and her true purpose on earth. Then I chuckled and said to my friend that she is so unassuming and down to earth that very few of her friends or clients know of her success story.
My friend nodded, said that he was very impressed. Then he was quiet for awhile. After a few minutes he said that he had the money but he doesn’t seem to be able to find the time to do the things he wanted to do. His business seems to occupy all his time. I smiled and said to him that he was a very successful man in many areas especially money, but he had failed miserably in the area of time for himself to do what he wanted to do. He nodded and quietly said that he need to look into his priorities again.

We had some coffee and then the topic moved on to ET YOUTH. He asked me about this and I explained that, a lot of times the younger generation Y and Z are misunderstood by generation X and baby boomers. ET YOUTH is a forum where I correct this perception. Gen Y and Z are upgraded versions of Gen X and the baby boomers! At this forum, I guide the different generations to understand each other and draw upon their strengths rather than focusing on their weaknesses. I also answer questions from the participants in the forum on success, failure, awareness and generally about life.
After I explained, he said that it was quite an interesting thing I am doing and he would try to find some time to join the forum. I laughed and said in a joking manner to him to find some time for himself first. He too laughed and nodded.
Then he asked me about my active social life. I went like what active social life and gave him the puzzled look. Then with a wink he said that I seem to be out on many dates with different women, movies, holidays etc etc. He sees me having plenty “fun” with women. That’s what he sees in FB, he said.
I laughed and said that his senses have clouded his judgement. He looked at me in a bewildered manner and asked me what I meant. I smiled and told him that I seldom spend time with people. I prefer being alone. I said I normally spend time only with people who are keen to learn. That is to learn about themselves, their goals, their subconscious mind, their darkside (stuff that they don’t know about themselves), their purpose, mission in life etc. Mostly, people learn in classroom. But for me the world is my classroom. That is how I teach and guide. Then with a smile I said, the FB postings are just FB postings. Some people post about their meals, pets and so on. I or whoever I am out with just do that as well. It is just regular postings like what millions of other FB users do.
My friend apologized and agreed that his senses indeed had clouded his judgement. Then he asked whether I was worried about the negative perception that people may have of me after seeing the postings. I smiled and said with a wink that I cannot control what people think. They are entitled to think whatever they want. Then he asked me again whether I was not worried about what people think of me. I looked at him straight and said, “No”. I am just living my life the way my heart wants me to. I am aware of my goals that my heart has set for me. I am doing its bidding.
My friend nodded and apologized again. I said to him that he need not apologize. In fact, I thanked him for asking and getting to know the truth, rather than pass judgement like how most do by just listening to their senses.
As I had to leave for my next appointment, I shook his hand and gave him a hug. He smiled and thanked me and said he learnt a lot in the last hour that we had been talking. I smiled back and with a wink, I asked him what he thought about my “classroom”. He laughed and said that he enjoyed it very much. I nodded, smiled and left.
