Yay Ascendance!

A little preview of what's to come from that prior animation post. The gif got real cronchy and doesn't do the colours and lighting justice.
I took some liberties in imagining how Raziel's clan territory would look prior to being cast into the abyss. Layout isn't really my forte so the remaster's photo mode was a big help.
To those playing Ascendance at launch, I hope you guys have fun tomorrow and let me know how it is. The pixel art looks great and it will be nice hearing some familiar voices again. I wonder if you'll be able to explore Raziel's territory in it's prime.
Never mind guys, Ascendance was all worth it.
Dusting off - Devlog 11
Hey there, I hope you've been properly hydrating since last time!
I'm pleased to announce that Ascendance is being worked on again ❤️
I believe creating is essential for us to truly exist and, when I decided to start being creative again, I realized this is the one project I would very much like to see finished. There's a story here I'd like to tell.
Here's the plan:
1. Worldbuilding and character development
My primary focus, coming back to this project, will be building a coherent world first, with elements that make sense together. The characters will also be more deeply developed and more familiar to me before I start actively writing the story again.
2. Re-learning Twine and interactive fiction
I'll take time to learn how to use Twine again. This includes seeing which aspects of my current story structure are sustainable and which aspects will have to change in order to be.
3. The story itself
As of now, it's highly likely that the prologue won't change much. I want to improve the quality of the writing and the text-choice distribution, but nothing so huge that it would feel like a different story. Now, after the prologue, I imagine each division will start feeling more like its own thing. We'll see!
4. The work
Steps 1 and 2 will be worked on at the same time and are the stage I am at right now. I see them as complementary tasks.
They are planned to take about 6–8 months to reach a satisfactory level.
The story itself (step 3) will start being developed again after that.
You can expect monthly-ish updates overall!
I would like to thank you deeply for your unwavering support and patience 💕 I see you too. Love, Lou

Not much time or energy to work on stuff outside of comm art but still wanted to doodle a bit of ascendance/wilds au nonsense. Also ended up reworking my hunter's timeline.
The numbers that built up TDSR! pt 1
I don't know what possessed me to do this but here we are.
A lot of people keep saying we paid BitBot almost 1.5 million dollars for a comic majority of the community does not see fit of the Legacy of Kain writing quality. ~~In my opinion~~
We did not pay $1.5 mill for the book ALONE. We paid $1.5 mill for the book AND officially licensed merchandise. We got the Reaver replicas, masks, banners, maps, shirts, hats, hoodies, music, etc. No one can attest to the quality of these products until they finally get shipped out and are in our hands. Until then I will assume they are of decent quality.
The whole point of this series of posts is I'm going to break down the cost of each portioned earned, look up some rough estimates as to how much it will cost to manufacture, and see how it all sizes up. But first we need to see what we're working with.

Now lets get on with it
