“ Oh, Princess Zelda! Uh, hello! ” Luckily, he’s saved from the awkward stammering of trying to hold his own conversation as she guides the conversation in her own path.

“ Oh! Um, do we? ” An interesting way to start the conversation... certainly one that got Pit thinking. He wondered what she meant by that. He wondered what he had in common with a beautiful princess...  “ Not that I mind, of course, but what do you mean? Did you hear what we have in common, your highness? Now I’m curious, haha...! ”

{ ♛}” I’m glad you came to train with me Zelda. I kinda prefer to train with someone rather than just training on my own.” A warm smile was on the Princess’s face, happy that the other decided to join her. Zelda was someone Peach respected a lot and felt like she had a lot in common with.

Both were royal ladies with powers that are known for getting kidnapped despite being much stronger than they lead on.

{♛}” Unfortunately…”   Peach let out a sigh. It was one of the few things she hated about being royalty.  People refuse to let her do things on her own and always assume she needs protection 24/7.

{♛}” My people constantly worry about me and while it’s sweet that they care so much for me it’s very suffocating.”  There were many times where she had to sneak out her own castle to go adventures. Sure she was a Princess but she hates doing nothing and being useless when something is happening. If there’s a way that she could help out she was going to help.

{♛}” They panic at the idea of me going out alone despite being a capable fighter here.“

     A breath. Slightly heavy. “Sorry.” 

     Without an extra sigh passing his lips, eyes turn themselves away with the rest of his body, making his exit in the same direction. This Zelda... this Zelda wasn’t his Zelda, and while he silently vowed to protect her and every reincarnation he met as though they were, that did not mean he had to follow her around in the same manner. They were situated in a fighting tournament, the other knew how to protect herself. If she needed help, then she would request it. A personal escort wasn’t required. 

     Further reasoning behind the strange behavior died quickly to a barren tongue, defaulting to a firm continuation in his movement. No excuses, you’ll be summoned forth when needed.

△  “ That’s   right , ”   she   said   bluntly .   Truthfully ,   she   was   electing   herself   to   be   the   one   to   look   out   for   him   but ,   he   definitely   needed   it   and   even   if   he   wasn’t   going   to   admit   it ,  she   knew   that   even   great   heroes   need   a   little   help   every   now   and   then .   “ You’re   always   getting   into   some   kind   of   trouble .  You   can’t   take   it   all   on   by   yourself .   Instead   of   you   protecting   me .  .  .  .   I   wanna   protect   you   for   a   change.   I’m   not   bad   with   a   bow   and   I   kinda   know   my   way   around   a   sword . ”

“Well...” The blond hylian began uncertainly. The statement broke off before it was allowed to take root. Link simply knew how it would be taken if he kept going. Zelda had that look about her that promised trouble if he kept on. The blunt way she had retaliated to start was his first warning, a warning he’d better heed if he wanted the day to stay a good one. 

“Alright. I suppose I am going to have my hands full with this so may as well.” He had promised that he would get a shipment of supply from Castle Town to the temple under construction safely, but somehow they had forgotten that such a weight needed someone strong to move it along the ground. Horses apparently hadn’t been tamed yet, and thus he had offered to round some of those up as well. Taming wild horses was a trial even without dangerous creatures trying to ambush him.

△  “ GAH ! ”    She    lurched    back    as    a    portal    had    opened    in    front    of    her    and    dropped    someone    out    of    it .   Unfortunately    for    this    lost    wayfarer ,   the    entryway    to    another   time    vanished    and    the    boy    was    trapped    in    another    time .   After    her    fright    had    faded ,    she    slowly    approached    him .    Zelda    knelt    and    placed    her    small ,    slender    hand    upon    his    shoulder   . It    was    then    that    she    got    a    decent    look    at    his    face .    “ HEY ,    are    you    all          ri— ”    She’d    never    seen    this    boy    before    but .  .  .  .   somehow ,    there    was    no    doubt    in    her    mind    that    this    soul    was    the    one    she    knew    so    well :   Link .    He    was    worlds    different    from    the    face    she    usually    associated    with    that    name .   He    had    such    long ,    golden    hair    and    even    softer    features .    “ It’s .  .  .  .   you . ”  

--“Woaaaah!”  He did not much enjoy traveling this way.  Honestly, couldn’t he had gone a more conventional way, like by horse or carried by a Rito or something? Course, those were non-magical ways and this...Link couldn’t describe this. Nor would he want to if pressed, especially when it so ingloriously dropped him back first to the ground. He saw stars for a moment or three after that, letting himself just lay there as he waited for something to settle, be it his stomach or his head. 

That’s when he heard a voice. A touch on his shoulder preceded it, and he swiveled his head so he could take in the poor soul who got to witness his rather dramatic entrance. Blonde, bright eyed, gentle, and for some reason alert with recognition. Well, it wouldn’t be the first time someone knew him and he didn’t in return, though he had the strongest feeling that he should.

Looking a bit like a puppy who just had his tail stepped on, Link shifted to sit up, groaning softly as he did so. The back of his head and back smarted from the fall, though that was fading quickly enough. An extra rub to be sure there wasn’t a goose-egg, and he gave the woman a nod paired with a smile. 

“I’m fine.” Link then tipped his head, blinking as he racked his brain for any kind of memory of this woman. Nothing. Though he had to admit she kinda looked like Zelda in her way. A number of things were wrong, the main thing he noticed being the eye color and the hairstyle, but that was the closest he could come. 

“And you are...?”
