leah & audrie / best friends from childhood since their families have close business ties together. during boring galas and parties they have to make an appearance at, they can usually be found somewhere in the back, chatting away with champagne and desserts. i feel like leah really appreciates how nurturing audrie is since she never received much parental warmth from anyone in her family. maybe one of them recently got out of a toxic marriage and the other finds it the opportunity to finally come clean with their feelings.

ara & miyoung / they met in a drama where they're both hired as child actresses, become best friends since <3 maybe they drifted apart when miyoung stepped out of the limelight while ara's career continued to grow and she's now one of the biggest stars in the industry. now they meet again after years of separation. are they able to pick up where they left off or is the gap too much to bridge? would there be some bitterness over how much their places in life differ?

eva & shayne / he's the rockstar with a long list of ex lovers and she's the latest model that has kept his interest. maybe they met for a music video shooting, it's a one-night-stand turned many nights, or friends with benefits gone wry when one develops feelings, or worse, when they get terribly jealous when seeing the other with someone else and lash out in a party

zee watches her rummage through her bag, eyes widening at the sight of something he isn't used to seeing unless he's manning the cash register at the cafe ( which he rarely ever does because god knows he can't be trusted to work that thing ). voice is concerned and cautious, whispering his words. "you definitely should not be carrying that much cash around. what if i rob you?" a joke, obviously, but the sentiment stands.

"they're coming, they're coming!" mari announces when she spots the other's ex and whips her head back around. hers would likely show up before too long, too, since they all run in the same social circle. this party is the perfect opportunity for the two of them to really amplify the act that they are playing. "am i good to wrap my arm around you? or is that too much? how obnoxious do we want to be?" boundaries are an important thing, but mari has few of them of her own.

"i don't suppose this one is about me, is it?" rightly or wrongly, emery had been perusing around on their laptop and come across a sample of a track. she really had no business in listening but had anyway and found the lyrics to be rather telling of an all too familiar scene. "you know people will know, right?"

honey doesn't know what the safest alternative is for them. she just knows that the last thing that she wants is for their to be any scandalous headlines — she doesn't want any headlines about her personal life at all if she can help it. "i don't know," she sighs, since it's never been something she's thought about until now. all the technological advancements have also been a bit of an issue. "what about... physical copies?"

"i don't..." he's not rough but he does pull his arm from her grasp. he's not sure he wants to go anywhere with gemma right now, much less be alone with her. "i don't think there's anything to talk about." she's given her answer and now joshua needs the time to process that. however, the only thing he can agree on is that he doesn't need to do that in front of other people. other people who have just watched him be awkwardly rejected. so, he does shuffle out of the room but takes longer steps to leave a few paces between them.
