“If we’re going to talk, then let’s talk. Forget about what is polite or proper and delve right into what is sincere and honest. Lead me down through the labyrinth of your true, spectacular self. I am not interested in pleasantries. If you want a conversation, then let’s get lost.”

Miranda looked over the red ranger’s face, ignoring him scowling up at her from his chair, it just wasn’t right, it wasn’t scarred or anything, it was like he was never damaged. “Doesn’t it disturb you?”
“The fact I can choose to rebuild my skin simulacrum perfectly?”
“No, that your entire life was designed for trauma. Don’t you ever think about that? About the other Infiltrators? Did they shut them off? Their memories...Their souls.”
“Miranda... Go home.”
The pink ranger just shrugged and started heading out of the base, into the husk of a warehouse it was beneath. Not really safe to be partially underground when the city was so close to a fault line. Slipping through the small side door into the cold. Miranda muttered to herself. “I’m not going home, jerk. Can’t even morph anymore jerk thinking he can tell me how to live.”
Why would she? Home was empty, quiet. Crap apartment in a crap part of town. Crash at Aaron’s dorm room? No, it reeks there, how does he get guys to stay the night? Rita had a basement apartment, maybe there? No, god no, Rita would probably get pissy about Miranda watching T.V. til 4 am.
The pink ranger looked at phone, 40% battery. “Fuck”
It was cold, it was already night, but it felt like it was getting darker. It was late, and she had wandered to the park without realizing it, that was weird. The pink ranger could have sworn she went in the other direction.
But she shrugged and started walking the trail, not like anyone could ever mess with her, then she made her way to the clearing in the center... Was that... A funhouse? Oh that can’t be good.
The buildings electronics seemed to activate, clownhead entrance was a little too detailed, the tongue walkway a little too much like an actual tongue. Miranda sighs loudly, it was best to investigate this, the rest of the team will pick up on the signal soon enough. Especially if she has to morph at some point. And so, she entered...
Aboard the Eternium warship...
“Which one of you summoned that foul creature?!” Eternus tossed his head scientist against the wall, before turning to the other generals, nearly taking a swing at Witchling, stopping an inch from her face and mere seconds before he strikes her as she speaks. “Incoming communication for you, my lord.”
“Who thinks they have the ri-” “Governor of your homeworld, Lord Eternus.” A seconds pause. “Put him through. Witchling may stay, you two, leave!”
With little hesitation but notable annoyance, the Eternium King’s lead scientist and personal hunter teleport off the bridge to their personal quarters. As Eternus sits in his throne, a large hologram activates, a well dressed man with a twisted skull-like head of stone. Eyeless gaze and fleshless grin looks back at the lord and destroyer of realms. “Ah, Eternus, my dear old friend.”
“Aeon, so that thing was your doing”
“Oh I do hope it wasn’t rude to send your birthday present early.”
Every sensation was torture, gears were damaged, he needed time to repair. Time they didn’t have. The red gryphon ranger struggled but rose to his feet, Talia getting between him and the enemy, looking back at the machine man. She gives him a nod, silent permission to rest, a part of that hurt Jack’s pride even as much as he knew he was useless in this state.
“Well well, sister, your pet robot seems to be malfunctioning.” Looks like Elias regained his composure, forcing out a chuckle. “I’m not one to give up a tactical advantage.”
With a snap of his fingers, gateway portals appear, the dark zords emerging. Wyvern, Thunderbird, Hydra. And soon enough they started to change shape, the Wyvern zord forming the torso and the right arm. Hydra becoming legs, detaching the spare head and neck to form its left arm. Thunderbird zord folding and coming apart, becoming a chestpiece and the head.
“The Dark Mythic Megazord. A bit of a silly name, but the zords want what they want, and it’s a master class in destruction.” The Cyan Thunderbird speaks as his allies are dramatically teleported into their Megazords cockpit, the heroic rangers that can summon their zords do so, which is a weak resistance at best.
Talia sends the other rangers to control their zords directly for this, leaving only her, Jack, and Elias on the pier. The machine man collapsing to his knees, body still wracked with pain.
Back aboard the warship, the generals watch on. “One megazord eliminated, and another appears. Annoying.”
“Lord Eternus, we will find a way to deal with this one as well.” Witchling assured the leader of the Eternium. “And we will have these worthless ones deal with the personal problem rangers.”
That’s when a large explosion causes the ship to shake and shudder, the sound roaring through, the disruption deactivating the monitor system. A comm line activates in Eternus’s throne. “M-My lord! We need reinforcements at the containment cells! 32-A and 32-B have escaped! They’re tearing through the Eternites! They’re heading for the portal b-Aarrgh!”
The line dies. Toxic Rose begins to stand, only one still looking out the front of the ship, and points forward. “Oh that is so unfair!”
Two large gateway portals form, the shadows of massive mechanical beings can be seen.
Aaron had been sent to follow what was thought to be a weak entry signal, his suit was still telling him it was there, but nothing could be found. When he called to report the lack of presence, he found communications being jammed. Before he could even think of saying the words “Oh that cant be good” the green ranger found himself under fire. Heavy powerful, and painful, shots steadily rained at him.
And even though he didn’t know, they were a distraction. A member of the Eternium’s council was here. Toxic Rose, a hunter without compare, watched as her trapped fired upon, chuckling to herself.
A black creature, eight eyes on her mask...Face?... An arm of crimson crystal, remained hidden on the nearby rooftop. That green ranger was now aware this was more than some simple destructive critter. Rose was sure he wouldn’t get out of this without help, but, before she most definitely won at least, the game was on.
Several varieties of roses can be found throughout Azeroth - though each type holds a meaning different than its brethren. However, a commonality between all roses is whether they are thorned or dethorned when sent. To leave the thorns intact implies a sharper, darker meaning to the base one. Beyond the color meaning roses have unique twists to depending on the number of flowers sent. A single rose implies utmost devotion to whatever base meaning the color provides. Six roses signifies the sender has a great need for whatever that type of rose means. Eleven roses is meant to assure the recipient that they are truly and deeply loved on top of whatever other meaning the rose has - quite the strange mix up when a black rose is sent! Should you receive thirteen roses it is from a secret admirer! And hopefully one that sends you one with kind intentions.
Black Rose:
One of the more difficult to acquire due to the trouble of growing - or dyeing - them, black roses carry a heavy message. The polar opposite of the romance and passion associated with red roses, this bloom only means hatred for the one it is sent to. Hatred and hopes for ill to befall them, perhaps even death. Some more poetic assassins and murderers have left them as tokens or used them as signatures for their work.
To leave the thorns of the black rose on implies you wish the recipient not only ill will but a painful life or a terrible death. Your hatred runs deep and cuts you to the core is the message it relays.
Blue Rose:
One of the rarest of all flowers, the blue rose is actually an impossibility in nature! Magic is what turns this flower blue and while some gardeners insist they can grow them naturally from the seeds of enchanted blooms, the author has yet to see or hear of one that matches those bespelled blue.
As such the blue rose has taken on quite the bittersweet meaning. To gift blue roses is to tell your intended that you find them unattainable. This can come across as kind - or perhaps self-deprecating - but, if your intentions are less than sweet, it can also mean that you find them unreachable and unattainable due to a flawed personality. Or, to turn the tables, would-be sweethearts have sent blue roses as a response to suitors to warn them that they are out of their admirer’s league.
Eternium Rose:
No one is quite certain just where the eternium roses originated from. Some maintain that they’re little better than the metal flowers crafted by smiths or jewelers while others say that only the deft hands of metal automatons can manage to produce them. Regardless of where they came from, eternium roses are quite beautiful! With shining metallic petals and a sturdy stem one never will have to fear for their safety in transport. Nor shall they ever wither!
Which is much what the sender’s feels about the one they are gifting them to! Their love for the recipient is unwavering, uncompromising, and unending. They feel that the relationship is beyond compromise and that they are yours forever. While a red rose may symbolize love an eternium rose speaks of a love that will never wither, one built from sturdier stuff.
Reportedly this is the variety of rose favored by some goblins. Flashy and crafted from a rare metal, the eternium rose has taken root in their hearts.
Lavender Rose:
Some say the lavender rose was first grown in Dalaran by a Kirin Tor wizard who also enjoyed gardening. Whether or not that’s true, the flower is the same shade seen throughout Dalaran and some residents enjoy keeping it in window boxes and planters.
Perhaps due to this the lavender rose acquired its meaning: enchantment. To send it is to tell your intended you have fallen completely under their spell. Often given in the initial stages of courtship, this is a fine bit of flattery indeed. And gifted to a Kirin Tor sorcerer? It might just earn you their favor.
Pink Rose:
Pink roses are a gentle flower with a sweet meaning. A happy looking flower, pink roses signify that the sender is quite pleased with you! They are grateful for you - or perhaps something you did recently for them! These pretty petals show that they have an earnest gratitude and beseech you to believe them. Sometimes pink roses are sent to a party that doubts their own value or questions why their partner would even want them. To receive pink roses is to know that the one who sent them is honest in their feelings towards you and wishes you’d believe them.
On occasion pink roses are sent to new mothers by their family as a token of support and praise.
Orange Rose:
While it doesn’t hold the deep love of a red rose, an orange rose speaks of an enthusiastic desire. This desire runs the gamut from physical intimacy to that of a deeper, more committed relationship. Often times the sender will include other flowers in the bouquet to give the recipient clues as to what they mean. Generally they are paired with other varieties of roses though an arrangement of cinderbloom and orange roses - beyond appealing to look at - means the sender’s desires are consuming them.
Red Rose:
Viewed as a classic symbol of romance, few other flowers share the popularity of the red rose among lovers. Would-be suitors and those already in favor with their beloved often gift bouquets of these blooms as a sign of passion and love. Though there are other flowers that hold similar meaning, the red rose has been a sign of love for time immemorial.
Cards decorated with, perfume oils crafted from, and jewelry of red rose design are all popular gifts to send a lover. During holiday seasons - most especially Love is in the Air - these are found in abundance in even small villages as hopeful lovers vie for their intended’s affections.
Though to send it with the thorns attached has a more heartsick meaning. To do such tells the receiver that their love wounds you and the romance between you causes your heart to bleed in grief. Often to send them as such is a subtle apology for wronging your lover and a sign you will continue to endure till you are once more in their good graces. To send two red roses is to say, without words, that you desire to marry the recipient!
Talandra’s Rose:
Native to Northrend, Talandra’s rose is a hardier version of the garden variety of roses most flower shops carry. Their stems bear a strange, striped pattern and the edges of the magenta petals are curved and jagged. Somehow this plant has managed to adapt to the harsh conditions of the northern continent and plant lovers are thankful for its enduring beauty.
The flower itself has come to be known as a gift given in thanks for some kindness. Though not as costly as some roses, it is still an eloquent gesture. The scent of Talandra’s rose is lighter than most roses and makes a delicate perfume enjoyed by younger people or those with more delicate noses.
Any bouquet still bearing thorns is a spiteful gesture that says, “Thanks, but no thanks,” in regards to whatever actions the receiver was attempting.
Yellow Rose:
A friendly flower, yellow roses are a fine gift for a fine friend! These bright blossoms are a sign that you appreciate that friendship and hope your friend feels the same way. Sometimes these flowers are sent to friends growing distant from one another as a request to return to how they were, to become the close friends they once were.
Eleven yellow roses sent with a single red deviates from the sort of implications those numbers generally have with rose arrangements. That particular combination means that your friendship is taking a romantic turn and that the sender has more than just friendly feelings for the recipient.
White Rose:
The purity of the white rose has given an innocent meaning to the flower. Often worn by young human girls and given to them as gifts, it speaks of the childish innocence they hold. White roses are a sweet gift to give. They can also be exchanged as a sign of chaste love and respect for the purity you perceive the receiving party possesses.
At times fathers and older brothers will give them to daughters and sisters during romantic holidays as a sign of their affection and love. Some forsaken tend to view the rose in a more melancholy fashion. For these forsaken white roses are often grown in memorial to the lost innocence of their people as a whole.
White roses with their thorns intact are a cruel gift and speak of a disrespect for the recipient. To give such implies you doubt their purity or are sending them as an unkind nod at their loss of innocence.
