Because, the unthinkable, without it . . . all you've got left is reality.": "FreakyLinks," airing briefly on Fox right at the turn of the millennium just as America was beginning to veer off into the delerium of the digital age, sort of "Eerie, Indiana" or "The Night Stalker" starring dollsome twentysomethings using video cameras and computers to evince or debunk cases involving cryptids, conspiracies, urban legends, and Weekly World News headlines. It's a timely but also prophetic show, resolutions not necessarily panning out patly as expected, one character -- initially the resident academician/skeptic -- studying the Internet's influence to precipitate mass derangement.
