From a young age, Ethan had to learn how to fly under the radar. His mother always had her hands full with three children, since her husband was mostly away serving the country. Speaking out meant a ticket to the corner for time out, when Abbey home. The Matsui children had to learn how to entertain themselves since they hardly had money to pay for their home and food, much less toys. At seven years of age, Ethan began to partake in some of Liam’s schemes. Most of the time he would act as a distraction while his brother stole food from stands at farmer’s markets to feed their family, but before long, he started learning some sleight of hand to assist his brother in his efforts. At twelve years old, Ethan’s father, George, finally returned home, permanently. He had taken a shot to the spine and became paralyzed from the waist down. While George was still Ethan’s father, he had changed. He was no longer happy-go-lucky, and spent most of his days sitting around at home.
When Ethan was fourteen, his mother got a job opportunity in Portland, Oregon. So, the whole family packed up their lives and moved to the other side of the country. The adjustment was difficult for the teenage, at first, but this new job paid his mom a better salary so they were living in a nicer home and not worrying about bills as much. The first people he met in his new high school became lifelong friends. Stella and Logan became a big part of his life and the three of them became inseparable. Which made up for the fact that Ethan had to leave behind his friends in New York. Almost everyone in the office at their high school knew the three of their names since they were always getting into trouble whether it be spiking the punch at school dances or switching people’s clothes in the gym lockers. But when it came time to graduate he wasn’t exactly sure what he wanted to do with his life so he blindly followed Stella and Logan along to Skybourne and was accepted there.
Although Ethan’s power could rank him among heroes, he only shows off the true capabilities of his abilities to friends. Ethan has never had any desire to be a hero. Instead, he preferred to keep it on the down low so he’s not the immediate suspect when he used his abilities to get up to shenanigans. Ever since being at Skybourne though, he’s been the announcer for the Save the Citizen tournaments. Not only is it a blast to be able to commentate on all the triumph and disaster but he can also use the proximity to occasionally help stack the contest in favor of Stella and Logan when they’re up. He is also well known around campus for coordinating the Fantasy Super Hero League. Like fantasy football, people pick heroes and hero-support for their teams and based on how they perform in the field; villains defeated and lives saved, people earn points. While it is advertised as being a gambling free game, certain individuals do place bets with Ethan under the table.

Logan Reynolds: The two of them have been attached at the hip since they met in high school...until Logan got a girlfriend. For a year or so, Logan completely changed and never went to parties. Ethan would get mad at his friend not just because he missed his friend but because he felt a pang of...jealousy? He didn’t like that his friend didn’t want to spend time with him.
Stella Walsh: Stella wasn’t someone Ethan expected to become so close to. Logan introduced her to the friend group and Ethan went along with it at first, but some time freshman year of college when Logan and his girlfriend were together, the two of them truly bonded. Ethan has come to view her as someone he can talk to about anything and everything.
[Twins character changes over the years]
Matsui Twins | Original Characters 02-02-2023
random #oc rambling, but I somehow got reminded of a funny shift I created in a trio of mine
It's about the Matsui twins I got (Evan and Ethan) who are from a family that passes down a certain demon from one vessel to the other.
and like, that demon was supposed to be very cruel and bad to the twin that actually act as the vessel (I might ramble about that whole thing later). Like, the demon's doing his worst so his host can just give the fuck up and he can take full possession of him (pretty sure an idea I had about it was Evan kinda needed to die in some way for it to work best). and one way to push Evan as much as possible was to hurt Ethan because he knows he's the most precious thing Evan has.
But the way I evolved these characters, now the demon is still a pain in Evan's ass and still isn't a good person, but as the twin grows up, he kinda got attached to them, especially Ethan because he's surprisingly kind to him despite everything.
Like, the demon prolly prefers Ethan to his host, but he still ends up attached to them because they are both so different from all his previous hosts in the family.
He's 100% ready to kill to keep them safe.
Being protective and possessive over
Ethan and wanting to keep him safe
Kuro 🤝 Evan
Thinking back to how I called the demon Kuro, I just got hit in the face really hard with how brilliant I was at naming my character back when I was 12.
Fun fact, the twin wasn't called Evan & Ethan, but rather Tatsuya and Tenbatsu (I'd need to find back what the meaning behind these two names are, am sure if I see it it will all make sense). But at some point, I changed a lot of my ocs names and updated stuff (a lot of them were very vaguely Japanese (from my very weeb days where most had Japanese names because I decided so).
I'm debating finding a better name for Kuro (am pretty sure it was supposed to be a placeholder name that stayed for a decade). The name could still be Japanese tho, since the twins are still of Japanese descent
Original
Morgan simply rambling about their ocs part 1
So I got four likes on my post about rambling about my ocs, so that’s enough for me to do it anyway. I waited to talk about how they came to be and how they evolved (since many are from easily 8-9 years ago). They won't be in chronological order, mainly because it been too long for me to really remember that, but also all the original thing that could have helped me figure that out are now gone or have new date of creation. I can remember maybe who the 3-4 first are, but that's as far as my memories go.
I'd love to go over what design they went through, but tumblr wouldn't allow me to do that, so I suppose I'll do that on a later time.
They were, for a large part of them, meant to be used for rp (boy do I miss doing those), a lot of the other just growing around them as side characters and world building. So I'll most likely go over those that were originally meant to be used in rp, since the other characters came much more later and have obviously less development.
Anyway, hope y'all love this long post about my ocs.
Inseparable
Characters: Ethan & Evan Matsui
Ethan and Evan are staying the night at some relative’s house for a family event. Due to their closeness and the feeling of safety around each other, they share a bed, to the incomprehension of their family.

OK but Ethan Matsui for the win!
That young man sure does know how to play a crowd, doesn’t he? But don’t worry darling, I won’t tell them about why you truly do win.
Halloween was just one of many occasions Logan missed out on his normal shenanigans with his friends because of his now ex-girlfriend, Tanya. She didn’t like drinking and partying, and she highly encouraged Logan to follow her example. Halloween was one of the bigger bashes of the year at Skybourne, making his absence a significant milestone in their relationship.
Stella, Ethan, and Perry planned a group s’mores costume for the party (understandably) without Logan. Which was fine, because they were going Trick-Or-Treating with Tanya’s friends as Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler from Stranger Things.
