Day 2: Sorts
An angel’s “sort” determines its abilities and attributes. You can identify a certain sort by physical attributes such as crystals growing from one wing, or fins instead of wings.
Known Sorts:
Common -- These are the most basic sort of angel with no physical attributes or oddities. They only have a single pair of wings and a small, golden halo.
Dreamkeepers -- These have the ability to enter and control dreams. Their role is to protect from nightmares and are identifiable from a cluster of crystals growing from their wing. Which one it is changes between individuals, but it is usually the right one.
Sailwings -- These normally stay in the ether, and their role is to protect individuals from physical harm or transport objects. They are identifiable by the membrane that replaces their flight feathers.
Mementos - The role of a memento angel is to record and keep information about various things. They are usually small and identified by their rune-ring halos and scroll wings..
Oracle -- Physically blind, oracles are used to see the unseen -- threats, past events, future events, etc. They often warn others of incoming danger. Oracles are identified by large, round orbs growing either in their head or at the wrists of their wings.
Hydro -- Hydro angels are unusual individuals -- they have wide back-fins instead of wings, and they have bubble-ring halos. They protect those who enter the water.
