🖕 Flip my muse the bird/a similar gesture
@ethirdil-ia
Green eyes widened as the gesture caught her attention before they narrowed and she squared her shoulders. It was not a good day for the witch - though to be fair, in general it wasn’t a good time for her at all - and this coming from a stranger she had never met before?
And then she spotted the ears and suddenly it all made sense.
Of course it would be an elf. She could put two and two together to realize he must have made friends with her circle of bullies.
If she had learned anything since being at the academy it was that elves and she did not mix. It was as if the very sight of her drew some deep seated hatred from within them for no reason that she could understand and it looked this this boy would be no different.
It had been some time since she had been at the receiving end of such rude gesture and to anyone else it wouldn’t have seemed like anything other than a quick slip of the hand but oh, she knew. And judging by the smirk upon his lips he knew too.
Anger seethed through her veins as her fingers curled around the notebook in her hands. She could feel Vanimelda pressing against her trying to bring her down from whatever snap decision she was about to make and possibly regret but she ignored him.
‘Kat....’ ‘Kat!’ ‘KATARINA’
Her hand was lifting in the air, fingers quickly making a gesture just as rude as the one she had received. Would she regret it later when he reported back to the group and they exacted revenge? Possibly.
Did it feel good to respond right now?
Extremely good.
[The insult she replied with is ‘Mítho orch! ‘ Which means ‘go kiss an orc’ and the motion is pretty much the chin flick which in parts of Europe is like giving the middle finger ]
