Also orange handknit socks. In July, @momentaryeclipse helped me gauge these so that we knew they would fit, and I carried on knitting them to finish for @badhairred. These would not have turned out so lovely without his help.

A hand knit sock has about 20k stitches, so to make a pair of socks for someone, you really have to love them at least 40k times. I always tease when I gift them that I clearly love them the most because who else has done something for them 40k times?!? Here’s hoping badhairred loves them and wears them till they are holey and well loved.

Hi I just saw you’re bookbinding of Lily’s boy and oh my word it was stunning!! That is literally one of my top 3 favourite fics and you so did it justice! Could a bound copy or even pdf version of the bound copy be purchased? I 100% understand if not but thought I’d ask.

Hi! Buying fanfiction is absolutely illegal and ethical binders recognize the threat it poses to fanfiction. Please do not do that.

It’s a hobby, and you can totally do it! Watch some tutorials, message me, check out ladybobbitt on Instagram and TikTok. Neatfreakgeek on TikTok has great tutorials as well. We all had to start somewhere, and you 💯 can do this! I still use Neatfreakgeek’s template for every bind I make! I’m a one trick pony, it works well, so I stick with it.

If you end up buying some binding supplies and want to give it a shot, I’m happy to share my typeset with you. Just send me a picture of your binding supplies, and I can email it over. Lots of binders are willing to share typesets with folks that are binding. No use reinventing the wheel!

What we don’t want to see is our typesets being used for binds sold on Etsy. It’s illegal and so disrespectful to authors, artists, and binders.

I really enjoy binding for a handful of friends. That’s your other option. Befriend a binder 🤭 100% free gift binds are fine (with author/artist permission).
