Album Artwork/Layout: Ethrelite x Megan Takacs (Luniix)
released March 1, 2020
This is really an excellent compilation of many of the different sounds I’ve come to associate with games of a certain vintage. There’s dreamy synth ambiance, there’s breakneck drum ‘n’ bass, there’s classical and electronic elements coming together, there’s a mixing of sounds that don’t seem like they’d go together but work (electronica and ambient synth wrapped around prog rock guitars and drums), there’s that vague sense of Y2K futurism.
Strong stuff all around!
