Leysa waved her hand dismissively. “Don’t worry about it, I’m terrible at keeping touch too. I just hope you’ve been looking after our old apartment.”

It had been a long time since Jou and Leysa parted ways. After giving up her son for adoption Leysa had travelled to the US, made amends with Anzu and got her life together. She had even started talking to her grandfather and parents again. Yugi, her twin brother, not so much but frankly it was probably for the best.

That being said, she felt bad for leaving Jou. He pretended to be her boyfriend and father of her baby for 9 months and she repays him by skipping town? sure they ended things amicably but she still felt bad about it. “....I hope the pasta is ok” She said quietly as she took her seat. “I’ve been practicing your recipe a lot since I moved out.”

When she saw him, Kat didn’t even look at him. She didn’t even bother to hide her new hair color. The spirit didn’t care. After all, Jou had lost the card that could have interested him, and now that he was in control he didn’t need friends.
