       “The world really has changed in the last 100 years...” the princess sighed softly, a melancholic look in her eyes as she and Link rode along. Everything seemed so surreal now; the Calamity gone, at Link’s side once more after all this time had past... the life she once had now being gone completely, and never once having a moment to properly mourn it. The princess just couldn’t help but feel tired. 

       “Yet, some parts appear just the same... I wonder why that is.” there were very few parts of Hyrule that Ganon hadn’t touched. Hateno and Lurelin still remained intact, but even still, monsters hung around close by. Even the lands of the Zora, Rito, Gorons, and Gerudo had made it, which gave her hope; but it still left her feeling incredibly unsatisfied.

       Shaking her head, Zelda leaned closer to Link in front of her, heaving a sigh of exhaustion. While she wanted to repair her land as quickly as possible, there were things that needed to be done first.

“You know, Link... You really did a wonderful job on the Compendium. Seeing all the pictures here makes me realize how much of the world I’ve yet to see.” Her eyes remain on the slate even as she speaks to him. Her fingers delicately trace over the multitude of images he captured on his journey; it was a bittersweet feeling. “I’ve been thinking... I want to see all of these places with my own eyes. I know it will take time, but I want to do it -- I’ve decided to do it! The only question is... would you be willing to accompany me?”

      “Y-You...” Zelda took a moment to pause, thinking over what Link had just asked of her. Being so close to him, the words being exchanged... it all felt so incredibly surreal. His voice and tone... they were as soft and loving as ever, and hearing them brought a warmth to her chest that only Link could give her. Hands reached out to trace her fingers down his cheeks, soon cupping his face as her gaze fixated itself upon him

       “You are mine.” she soon spoke, her words a bit shaky, yet firm in how she believed them. Her voice was hardly above a whisper, the princess leaning inward to press her forehead to the young knight’s. Her lashes fell closed, breathing slowly as she drank in the presence of the male before her, “Y-You are mine, and I... I am yours, Link. As long as you are mine... I will forever be yours...”

       “Really, at times when we need to travel fastest it just has to be raining...” sighing to herself, the princess took a seat at the wooden table. Having decided to wait out the storm at the nearest stable, the two really had nothing to do but just that; wait. 

       It was better than being outside and getting soaked, but still... she had wanted to get to Goron City as quickly as possible, and sitting here with the smells of hay and livestock weren’t exactly lifting her dampened spirits, “Say, Link... does it always rain this much?”
