E-UAE for PS3 – Amiga Emulator Released
Finally! I can retire my Amiga 500. The Ubiquitous Amiga Emulator (UAE) has made its way onto PS3 with thanks to Ole, who is responsible for this particular port of E-UAE. I grew up on Amiga and till this day it remains one of my favourite systems to emulate — from decapitating heads in Barbarian, driving crazy tracks in Stunt Car Racer to hoping for a better hand in Artworx’s Strip Poker II… My mom probably wondered what that unlabelled floppy disk was in my sock drawer.
E-UAE for PS3 Features
68000, 68010, 68020 processor cores
OCS, ECS and AGA chipset
amiga hi-res (720×576) graphics resolution in 32bit depth
joystick1, joystick2 (2nd joypad required) and mouse emulation
simple options dialog (supports switching of the disk files and more)
sound in 48000 kHz
keyboard emulation
support for loading zip and dms floppy images
reads either /dev_usb000/uae/uae.cfg or /dev_hdd0/game/EUAE00825/USRDIR/UAE.CFG configuration during startup!
