When a new foreign student was announced in the first class of the day, the second-years of the Fashion Department were definitely curious.
Most of them soon lost interest when a chubby girl came into the class. Since the new student was from outside South Korea, they thought that Rachel would at least be a beauty.
Daniel however was happy to discover Rachel as a kind girl and eagerly welcomed her into his circle of friends.
Vasco and Bum Jae only met her that day during lunchtime, when Rachel was eating with Daniel and the rest.
“A friend of Daniel’s a friend of me!” was Vasco’s reasoning.
Being the curious boi he is, he became very interested when Rachel started speaking to Jae in a different language that sounded “cool”.
He begged asked Jaeyeol to teach him but already knowing that Jae was on the very quiet end, Rachel volunteered for him.
For a good few weeks, Vasco butchered the pronunciation of every new word he learnt. With Rachel’s basically saintly patience, it was no wonder that they became close friends.
There was only one time where he commented and even fought off Rachel’s aggressive classmates, and no one dared cross her again.
He was only too happy to help Rachel train her fitness after that event.
Bumjae had to stalk them the first month or so to make sure Vasco did not train her too hard
Bumjae conveniently came across one of their training sessions and was impressed by how resilient Rachel was under Vasco’s training
With all the training time, Vasco would have a soft spot for his only female friend, and it was almost natural how they ended up dating.
Vasco is always so proud of his girlfriend that he would mention her in his conversations without realising.
He adored her squishier parts and even fell asleep on her several times. She didn’t mind.
Vasco honestly is the perfect solution to dispel any of Rachel’s insecurities about her body. It just doesn’t click in his mind because her glowing attitude blinds him to her physical appearance.
In the end, Vasco becomes the second member in his gang with a romantic partner, and shocks people whenever this bearded delinquent boi could also speak in Rachel’s second language.
