Happy first anniversary to Metaphor ReFantazio!

I have no motivation to draw anything Metaphor related, so just have this old drawing that I drew earlier this year but made tweaks to since then.

On a more serious note, this game has been a life changer for me and definitely is one of my top favorite games of all time, right next to Dragon Quest VIII. I've met so many cool new oomfies through this game despite me initially feeling alienated or lonely because I am a furry/anthro artist, and thus I often feel like no one really understands me. TYSM to y'all who appreciate my art and headcanons, it means a lot to me!

Got any headcanons for Eupha with an autistic partner?

Metaphor Headcanons #8

-. First thing I thought about with this request was that she'd absolutely be full of questions.

-. She comes from a different culture from off of the mainland so I don't really think the mustari know a lot about autism or anything to do with neurodivergency for that matter. Not to mention her sheltered upbringing.

-. But she's an absolute sweetheart about it. She asks what you like, what you prefer, I can also see her relating to a few things and pointing it out.

-. "Yeah, these are all my [insert special interest]. I like to keep them in a group if they match colours to keep them tidy","Incredible! I also do the same with my ritualistic candles!"

-. I can definitely see her making you a make-shift fidget toy. She made Heismay's necklace, so it's definitely on the table.

-. She probably won't hide it very well because she asks you about tiny objects that you unconsciously play with your hands.

-. What smells the best? What texture you like? The weight of the items themselves. Anything and everything.

-. I can see her relating to you with about a lot of things like organising things, taking things too literally, thriving in routines based on order and careful planning. I definitely see her being these things, I think that in of itself could be comforting.

-. In medieval times, anything related to Autism or ADHD was probably seen as evil, so it would be hard to live in those times. Something she can relate to heavily for just being born of the mustari tribe.

-. Publicly locking her pinky finger with yours if you get overwhelmed 🥺 (she's not ready for hand holding yet).

-. Speaking of, you know how she absolutely roasted the ever loving FUCK outta Melo? She most definitely would (unintentionally) roast someone if they ever told you something bad. But she would absolutely get angry and do her best to convey it on purpose.

-. If you are having a meltdown, she will not know what to do at first, and be a bit scared of hurting you even more. But there's definitely more clarification after a brief conversation and explanation.

-. Next time this happens, she is not asking questions and instead just provides you with the things you need (pillow, blanket, tissues, water, etc). She'll also provide you with some comforting things to say.

-. "Perhaps we should take a moment and pace ourselves to alleviate this negative energy","You are doing so well. You are so strong and brave for coping with this".

-. Is also really patient and will do check ins every so often just to give you some space. But will leave every single one with a small "Don't forget I love you", just so you know you are loved.

-. A fellow person who was told : "You are so mature for your age" (relatable).

-. Will absolutely ask you to tell her about your special interests while you two are alone in a quiet environment. Even goes on dates with you just to hear you talk for hours on end.

-. Sometimes when she is in the runner doing some late night praying, she might catch you working on something. She won't interrupt what you're doing, having caught on by now that it would only startle you while you hyperfocus in the quiet.

-. Instead, she gives you a plate with a snack on it and something to drink with a little note with positive affirmations written on it. Like hell she's gonna let her partner dehydrate!!!

-. Eupha has always wanted to make others around her happy and safe, you are no exception.
