Lategame spoilers for Metaphor: Refantazio
Well timed shot of Will and Eupha aside, there is something I found noticeable about the Prince Archetype. The Prince Archetype has the widest range of Synthesis Skills of any Archetype in the game can be synced with any Archetype linage to use at least one of them.
But there is something that I noticed with the Summoner Archetype. There are three synthesis skills the Prince can use when fighting together with the Summoner Archetype linage. This includes Blackguard’s Hammer, Wild Bore, and Fire Art. And if you want to count Royal Sword and Armageddon’s Final Sire, the Royal Summoner allows the Prince to use most of its Synthesis compared to the other Royal Archetypes.
This is something that stands out to me because I ship Will and Eupha. Eupha awakens the Summoner Archetype, while Will unlocks the Prince Archetype after becoming one with the original Prince’s body. This connection makes more sense after considering how they met.
When the party arrives to Virga Island, a voice was speaking in Will’s head. That voice was in fact Eupha’s, this plot point gets explained after Will becomes the Prince. Will is born from Magla in a similar vein to Dragons. Such as the Dragon God Eht, whom Eupha worships.
Why does this matter when it comes to Will and Eupha’s relationship and what does it have to do with the Prince Archetype? The Prince Archetypes ability to use Synthesis Skill and act as Synthesis requirement for all Archetypes is crucial to Will’s character who is a wellspring of inspiration for those around him.
But for the Prince to have many Synthesis Skill requirements tied to Eupha’s Archetype speaks plain on the love and admiration Eupha has for Will. Thus the bond between them is so strong that Eupha’s Archetype is able to perform the most Synthesis Skills the Prince Archetype can perform is a smart attention to detail that makes me ship Will and Eupha even more than before.
