coining a term i guess cause i cant keep going "im permaTieWearer!" when im not

EUPHORIAN [pt: euphorian] (noun) - experiencing euphoria or a feeling of affirmation in one's identity (e.g. gender, species) when you do something or something happens to you

for example, i am a tie euphorian because i get gender euphoria when i wear a tie

this term is not exclusive to any groups (like fictionkin, transgender, therian) nor does it follow any ideology. for example, someone who just likes hatsune miku could be a singing euphorian (getting euphoria in their identity as someone who likes hatsune miku when they sing). this term can also be used by people who are, for example, transage

i made the term intentionally vague but you can make variations. some proposed names for variations upon the euphorian term include:

geneuphorian - experiencing gender euphoria from something

speceuphorian - experiencing species euphoria from something

these are not set in stone and i heavily encourage anyone to make their own variations and we will see whatever sticks

Really loved the teaser, it teased, I don't have a clue what's coming, but the hoodie is back, the Labrinth flourishes were sweet, and someone is almost certainly going to die.

It's clear that Euphorians are not a one size fits all and we all congregate here for a variety of interests. Episode 4 was always going to be divisive because it doesn't pander to fans of the fun tongue-in-cheek Euphoria that was a hallmark of last season, it expands the grammar of what a Euphoria episode can be. The camerawork was more subdued, longer shots, less Labrinth synth-pop (until very end), it was dark and moody and our most beloved characters were raked across the coals.

I don't think the episode is perfect, but I liked it a lot, and admire its ambition (you don't lapse into Malickian lyricism like at the end and expect to be embraced by the masses). This is some Dylanesque gumption, doing what feels right not what people request, and during what is the darkest point (hopefully) of Rue's story, it makes all the more sense for it to be upsetting to our immediate desires.

As a Sam Levinson fan foremost, I'm out of sync with a wide segment of the fan base. I want the artist to go as far as he can, do his worst, rather than rein it in and make something palatable.

We are halfway through, also hard to compare half a season to a full one.
