First day of Master studies & the Student Dean started off by threatening that if he catches any plagiarism from us, his "studying of Stalinist oppression will finally come to good use" 😂
hi blog no one reads, i recently landed in tbilisi where i will (hopefully) be staying for the next two months. i am living with a host family which, while uniquely difficult, is proving to be a wonderful experience. this country is so gorgeous and this city has so much emotion. walking around, there is street art and graffiti everywhere that allows such a unique insight to the cultural and political standing of the georgian people. one thing i find particularly interesting is the overwhelming presence of EU and NATO flags despite the nation being party to neither. additionally, there is a fascinating contrast between the new infrastructure - such as buses with usb ports and stunning parks - and old, dilapidated soviet buildings. this is a country in which you can literally see history and its effects on the population.
