Little Brown Moth #10, with impressively floofy shoulders! Found having a lovely snack in Western Montana.

Shockingly this brown moth is another noctuid, Euxoa sp.
Euxoa perpolita. This is a fairly uncommon moth. I was lucky to get one this past year! It's really beautiful, quite dark, but distinctly purple. #euxoa #euxoaperpolita #moth #noctuidae #massachusetts #lepidoptera #entomology
Little Brown Moth #11. Love the lovely dark chocolatey tones on this one. They made me work for this pic, were sitting juuuust far enough to the side that I had to crouch on the wall and stretch. Western Montana.
Definitely another Noctuid, probably Euxoa on this one too.
@bloodmist-apologist submitted: It's Miller (moth) time! the yearly inundation of moths is upon us, and I thought you'd like to see this dude who I had to bait out of my car with my phone flashlight. He hung out with me for a little bit before I encouraged him to seek better shelter in our lilac bushes.
