The ID buzz Cargo is one such all-electric van which is hoping to bring lithium-tech to the commercial market. With “commercial mobility in a new dimension” the Buzz van is a familiar platform for many customers, as this is based on the Buzz platform used for passengers. Compact, but practical, the cargo area is capable of taking on two Euro pallets sideways and the cargo area can be adjusted according to your specific needs. With twin sliding doors as standard plus the rear doors with / without you can ensure the vehicle is suitable for your business needs. Upgrade to the optional sliding electric doors for the complete experience. But not unlike the passenger option, you can enjoy a digital cockpit with the 12.9” screen and wireless app-connect, optional navigation, multifunction steering wheel, smartphone integration and a swathe of assistance systems.
In terms of the Cargo Van you can choose from two options, including:
Cargo Commerce - from £48,541 this includes the anti-theft alarm, cruise control systems, heat-insulating glass, LED headlights, heated front seats and front/rear parking sensors; and
Cargo Commerce Plus - from £53,641 this adds a heated windscreen, navigation, rear view camera and Intelligent Park Assist.
But how does the ID Buzz Cargo perform? This RWD van will have a 77 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 10.2 seconds, 90 mph top speeds and 150 kW (or 201hp). Expect a combined winter range of 180 miles with warmer weather allowing for 240 miles BUT this is subject to load and carrying. On charging, the 11 kW AC max will allow 8 hour 0 – 100% charging times with the 170 kW DC maximum allowing 28 minute 10 – 80% times. The van is 4,712mm long and 1,985mm wide with a gross vehicle weight of 3,000kg. Load volume for the internal rear is around 3.9 cubic metres. The ID Buzz can tow 750kg (Unbraked) or 1000kg (Braked).
