“What’s that?” “A tent.” “Okay?” Isak chuckled, raising his eyebrows at Even questioningly. “I found it while sorting through some stuff here.” He gestured vaguely at the mess of cardboard boxes piled in every corner of the garage. “And I thought maybe we could go camping one of these days. Spend some time just the two of us before, you know…” Isak nodded, he didn’t want to hear the end of this sentence, and it seemed for a second that Even didn’t want to finish it either, but still — “Before I leave for Trondheim,” he added. “What do you say?”

For the prompt X works at a restaurant where Y keeps bringing first dates.

“New day, new guy,” Marthe says while uncorking a bottle of Chablis. ”How many consecutive Fridays?”

“Five.” Even doesn’t take his eyes off the guy. “I can work the floor today. If you prefer the bar?”

“I thought you preferred the bar?” 

“Nah, either is fine,” Even says, accepting the waiter’s notepad and wine from her.

He starts making his rounds around the tables. Chats with a few regulars before walking over to the new regular and his date, engrossed in conversation. 

“Looks cozy here,” Even says, making the guy look up at him. It’s the first time he sees him up close; the Cupid bow of his lip, the parentheses when he smirks confidently.

“It is.”

I traveled to Oslo this weekend with my friend. It was my second time there, but first time since I watched SKAM for the first time almost a year ago. I know, it’s all pretty new to me.

I knew many people have visited series related spots around the city, and I wanted to check some of them as well, but the minute I stepped out of the airport shuttle train, I rushed to check… ‘The Boyfriend Experience’ fic related places.

This story was written by @ghostcat3000 and @irazor. I think it’s the best piece of writing there is - in the tone of storytelling, in the language characters spoke to each other, in the kindness of the plot, in how thoroughly the authors researched their settings.

Today we feature "In the Cracks Where Flowers Bloom" by @112ance with art by vantablack! Are you squeeing as much as we are for post-apocalypse Evak?

112ance: What inspired this story?

The recent HBO adaptation of the 2013 video game "The Last of Us." On a more personal note, a friend of mine who is also a fellow writer in this very Big Bang. Stories set in post-apocalyptic worlds also intrigue me, and this paved the opportunity to create my very own story in this particular universe.

Vantablack: What inspires you about this story?

When I first read the excerpt I knew it was something I wanted to work with. I'm a huge fan of The Last of Us, both the games and the show (needless to say I love Skam) and I always wanted to read a postapo AU. I think it was a great idea to combine these two worlds. I'm really exited to create something for this story.

We could rent a cabin,” Jonas suggests around the thin filter of the joint they’ve been passing back and forth between them. “…Light up and chill for a week.”

“Yeah? You, me and—?”

“Mikael.” Jonas shrugs. “Some of his friends. You remember Elias and Even and those guys, right?”

Or, Isak just graduated his Bachelor’s degree from NTNU and is back in Oslo for the summer. A boys’ cabin trip is arranged - the only issue is that the cabin’s too expensive unless they split it with Jonas’ roommate Mikael and his friends; the extended friend group Isak hasn’t seen in three years. And okay, he might’ve harbored a massive crush on Even back then, but it’s different now, he’s different. Not the same closet-case who used to get tongue-tied around Even.

It’ll be chill.
