i have no one to share with so im sharing here i practiced cavity preps on real teeth for the first time today. if anyone ever says drilling teeth is like a hot knife through butter, theyre correct, it was such a different like, experience? texture? compared to plastic teeth

i did the first tooth, the class I by myself, and then the second tooth i did the first bit, just from the distal to central pit and my dentist helped finish the class II, and then the last tooth i practiced another class I and he helped show me how to do a class III and a class V (except you cant see the class V cause it’s on the side of the tooth)

i actually did a lot better than i thought, like with plastic teeth in sim classes i have so much trouble with the depth of my prep but i got it so good here, plus the walls and floors were still very smooth and barely slanted

edit: the class III is actually an extended class II … oops

assisted in my first root canal today with zero knowledge of what instruments i needed or the steps and processes that happen in a root canal besides the basic understanding i already had. 8/10 would recommend.. ish..
