Schmal Wonders; the wonderful music of Evan Schmalz.
For the past week, I have been scrounging the vast inter-satellitical informational network that is the internet for good, genuine, relaxing music that is fit for the studying mind, which needs a musical catalyst yet needs not be distracted by it. Radios on iTunes? Too loud and distracting. And my ears have grown weary of classical reruns. Folk music? That's also very tricky genre to find relaxing gems in (though I have found one that is truly spectacularly wonderful, which I have replayed more 58+ times and it's still divine). But today, trundling through the labyrinth of my dashboard, and through the wonderful blogger Taylor I have finally found the music that I so long yearned for.
Hello, my dear followers,
Let me introduce to you the music of the absolutely delightful musician Evan Schmalz!
Modest and unassuming in it's simplicity, yet wonderfully well-crafted, relaxing, enjoyable, and heart-warming. The words and the way his voice carries them is all at once charming, companionable, and it gives you that feeling of being at ease, at peace, with not a threatening worry in the world. Perfect for a night or morning of studying, as well as to lift the silence of a lonely room.
Here is a link to his original songs, which I encourage you to give it a chance and explore, even for a few minutes.

All in all, a wonderful musical find that I am grateful for, and also a big thanks to Taylor for introducing him to me! :)
