man i gotta say.

i just like 911 for what it is, completely, at face value. i think one of the things i enjoy about it is that it's a ridiculous over the top sometimes overdramatic sometimes cheesy sometimes stupid procedural that often times doesn't make a lot of sense and kind of leaves stories dangling. like not that people can't criticize it if it isn't what they love or want to watch.

but for me all of the reasons people tend to complain about it are the things i like because like. loose threads are my bread and butter. i love them. i love when a story isn't tied up in a nice bow and they could potentially circle back around to it at any moment.

where's kim? who the fuck knows. eddie could be ring shopping for buck one day and BAM she's working at the jewelry shop. whatever happened to sperm donor baby? idk it's season 13 and they need a story for buck and suddenly that baby is 5 years old ubering to his house like I THINK UR MY REAL DAD. whatever happened to lucy? she's the captain of harbor now, it's season 12. like dangling storylines and loose threads are great in a show like this that's mostly procedural and could go on as long as they want to make it.

and also like i love it because tbh i don't have to think too hard about it. it's comforting and fun and sometimes it doesn't make sense and i'm good with that because i watch it and i know that going in and it's what i expect and somehow that is exactly what comforts me. i love the characters and i love their interpersonal relationships with each other and i want those two firefighters to make out and that's really enough to keep me coming back no matter how ridiculous and cheesy and stupid it gets.

also, i can't wait for season 15 when bobby finally breaks out of that government lab.

I cannot be clear enough about this. If you sympathize with Israel or you are a Zionist you shouldn’t be following me. Unless you are actively trying to unlearn it. Israel has been and is now carrying out a genocide against Palestinian people, and there are no excuses. It has been and always will be a colonial and apartheid regime that was built on the suffering of millions. Palestinian scholars, Jewish scholars, scholars of genocide and colonialism and so much more have been saying this for decades.

Israel’s own leaders have said they intend to wipe out Gaza and have said reprehensible things about what they intend to do to the Palestinian people. It takes so little time to look and see the absolute torture Palestinian people have been facing at the hands of Israel.

If you haven’t educated yourself by now, then I challenge you to start right now. I won’t be silent about a genocide and neither should you. Instead research, work, and use the links I share to make a collective effort to actually achieve a ceasefire, humanitarian aid, and begin doing the right thing.

Zionist and pro-Israel remarks will not be tolerated below this post and will be removed. Antisemitism is also not tolerated. Nor is the suggestion that anti-Zionism and antisemitism are the same, as they are factually and obviously not.
