Ada: Maggie Strange was petrified. The Great Count Grumbly cast the sleeping curse towards her in a ray of light, and she braced herself for her inevitable defeat. This would be the end, she was sure. But then… There was nothing. Maggie opened her eyes and saw the forcefield cast before her. “Maggie Strange!” Came the voices of her classmates, cheering from the outskirts of the courtyard. “You can do it! Don’t give up on us!”
Evan: Oh maaaaaan, Mom, this is my favorite part.
Ada: Oh, believe me, it gets even better. We’re only on book four–wait until you hear number twelve!
Bree: This is a stupid game...
Evan: It’s okay, Bree, you can try again! I’m sure you’ll be great with practice!
Iris: Oh my god, Evan, stop sucking up. She’s way out of your league.
Spoiler Alert: Iris sucks too
Iris: Ha! What a dweeb, he totally missed.
Evan: Whatever, I was just warming up! It’s not like you can do any better.
Max: Hey Nana, Grandma, did I ever tell you about the time Evan tried to get Vicky and I to push our beds together so he could sleep with us after wetting the bed so bad he soaked the mattress?
Courtney: Oh, my. That must have been bad.
Evan: What?! No, I didn’t! Shut up Max!
Ellie: Now Max, there’s no need to bring that up. That must have been years ago.
Max: It was last Tuesday, actually.
Evan: Was not! Quit lying, you liar!
Evan: So.... Can I copy your homework?
Leo: Uh, why? You’re like, two grades below us. Shouldn’t you ask your cousin if you’re going to do that?
Evan: No way! If I copy yours, my teacher will think I’m such a genius that she’ll have to bump me to your grade! And then I’ll have a chance with Bree.
Leo: I don’t think life works that way, Evan... Also, no way.
Evan: Aw, you’re no fun......
