Buck is in love with his best friend. That's something he has known since a long time, and it's something he has made peace with recently. Because he had to. Because Eddie is seeing someone. It's just something everyone at the station hear at the end of a crazy shift. Where everyone is heading to the kitchen for breakfast, and Eddie walks in the wrong way, towards the locker room to get changed.

Buck doesn't know what hurts the most. The fact that he was seeing someone, or the fact that he kept it a secret. Even to him. Even though they never had secret with each other. Except for the time Eddie joined a fight club during the lawsuit and didn't tell him. But they weren't in speaking terms back then.

Buck joins the other upstairs at the kitchen, and before he sits at the table, he stays at the mezzanine, and he watches Eddie as he left the station.

Right now, Buck knows what's hurting the most. He is standing right in front of Eddie's house. Feeling like a guest, which was unusual. It is Eddie's house, he is more than just a guest. But he just feels like a guest. Usually, he wouldn't even have been standing in front of the door. He would have used his keys, and just came inside. But tonight, he's here because Eddie is going on a date with Ana Flores, and he needs Buck to take care of Christopher. Buck feels miserable. Not for babysitting Chris. He loves that kid like he is his. He loves spending time with him, playing with him. He's feeling miserable because thanks to his kindness, and his inability to say no to Eddie, he's helping him to date someone. He knew that it was something bound to happen. Eddie wasn't going to stay single for the rest of his life.

Buck takes a deep breathe, to get ahold of his emotions, and only when he thinks that him smile seems genuine enough, he knocks on the door. Eddie opens the door quickly, and Buck's breathe is taken away immediately. Eddie is wearing his fanciest shirt, a black one that's just tight enough, and a pair of jeans Buck assumes are new. Because he never saw them before.

“Looking good, Diaz!” Buck says, enjoying the way Eddie rolls his eyes, because he called him Diaz.

aw, thank you so much! and of course - the smaller font is called Tw Cen MT, and the bigger one is Euphorigenic. in terms of the blending style, I don't think there's anything fancy going on there - simply using 'screen' blending mode.
