TheBalm Du Jour Creamy Lip Stain
As we move away from ultra matte, powder finish lips, TheBalm has launched a creamy, long wearing, glossy finish liquid lipstick, and it’s one that will make even the most devoted matte lipstick lover want to wear something with a little more gloss. If you hate the drying qualities of lip stains and the sticky feeling of a gloss, but want long wearing shine, these creamy lip stains may be the answer. Creamy, smooth, and lightweight these creamy lip stains have a cream-gloss finish free from the usual gloss attributes: goopy, sticky, and smearing. The product starts off as a beautiful gloss which slowly starts to wear down throughout the day and transforms to a lip stain. The pigment is good, (can sometimes need two coats for certain shades) the finish is beautiful, the formula is moisturizing, and the stain is long wearing, what more could you want?
Lano Face Base Gel Cream Cleanser
Lano (Lanolips) are a brand that first rose to fame with their “Original 101 Ointment” a simple tube of 100% Medical Grade Lanolin. The brand has come a long way in recent years and have now, finally dived into the face care category with a trio of skincare: “Face Base” One of the three products is Gel Cream, an interesting gel-cream-foaming hybrid. The gel consistency has a very “glycerin” style consistency which feels creamy and silky on the face and transforms into a frothy milky cleanser. The formula is easily able to break up a full day of makeup without traces of foundation being left on the skin (although if you tend to wear ultra thick makeup and waterproof products you may benefit from double cleansing) . Not as drying as a traditional foaming cleansers, but not as heavy or residual as a cream cleanser. It’s an interesting combination of a formula which deeply cleanses the skin and leaves it with that freshly washed feeling. Suitable for all skin types, but those who are on the drier side may find it can leave skin feeling a little tight so ensure you apply moisturiser without a delay.
Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Balm
This is not usually a product that I’d gravitate to, but I’m glad I gave it the benefit of the doubt, it was either trial this ASAP or toss it (being a product with a heavy natural ingredient base, the expiry date is not lengthy and mine is 3 months out from expiring) This “face balm’ is essentially like an all over lip balm, but it can be used in a variety of ways. Whilst it is a little thick to be used all over the face as a moisturiser, it is great when applied on the highest points of the face to add a glow and gloss to the skin (perfect for no makeup days) other uses include: applying it all over the face and leaving it for 30 mins before washing it off for a hydrating face mask, using it on dry and flaky areas of the skin (and over scars) applying it before powder highlighter (or mixing it in with a little to create a glossy, dewy highlight) using it on the lips as a lip balm and my favourite: swiping it all over a face of makeup (and the eyes) before washing off using a hot muslin cloth for a super easy cleansing balm and makeup remover.
Trussardi Sound Of Donna Fragrance
One of my favourite fragrances of the moment, Trussardi Sound of Donna is an interesting and eclectic mix of fragrance groups I usually don’t steer towards combined with some of my favourites. The result somehow just manages to hit my sweet spot and leave me constantly wanting to spritz the fragrance and bask in its scent. It starts off fruity (and perhaps a little more fruity than I would like, I’m not a fan of fruity scents) but as it dries down it turns into a much more sophisticated scent. It is quite earthy, and every now and then you get a whiff of “freshness” or “greenness” but it’s balanced out well with creamy, warm and nutty notes and topped off with feminine florals. It is a sultry, alluring, and sophisticated scent, yet still gives off a warm, exciting, opening and approachable persona to the wearer.
The Body Shop 100% Shea Butter
A solid “balm” The Body Shop 100% Shea Butter is an all in one multi-use product which takes place as a skin slave style product. Much like coconut oil (but less messy) it’s a product that can be used as a body lotion, a balm for dry spots and elbows (great pre-fake tan) on the lips as a lip balm, massaged into cuticles as a cuticle balm, or even used on hair as a hair mask (use it on dry hair before showering, comb through, and wash out with warm water) and as a frizz smoother. My personal favourite use is slathering it over my feet and putting socks on before bed for an ultimate overnight foot mask. The scent isn’t over powering and it’s a great alternative to Lanolin balms (it is plant sourced) and the lack of additives make it a gentle product for those with sensitive skin, eczema, and psoriasis. All in all it’s such a great all-rounder product and would make the perfect fit for anyone who is or isn’t a beauty junkie.

Wei Rice Sprout Express Glow Illuminating Mask
Wei Beauty is a brand I’ve been interested in trying for quite some time, the natural based skincare brand which uses techniques and ingredients from ancient Chinese medicine is all about balancing and brightening the skin. The Rice Water sprout face masks are individual, single-use face masks housed in a tube of potent serum for ultimate freshness. Once unraveled you apply the silk sheet mask to the skin and leave for 15 minutes, immediately after use my skin was slightly red (which is usual for any face mask used on my sensitive skin) but once it settled down, I was left with the most beautiful glowing complexion. Perhaps the best part of this face mask as opposed to many other sheet masks on the market is the left-over serum in the tube, a good 10-15 mls of the rich mixture which the sheet mask is drenched in can be used for multiple days after use (use it as your serum and moisturiser in one) giving you an almost 7-day skin treatment. The serum formula is a little sticky, but each morning I woke up with the most beautiful even, glowing, and brightened skin.
Davroe Curl Creme Definer
A niche, natural, and Aussie brand the Davroe Curl Definer Cream is something I tried by chance, and I’m so glad I did. A lightweight styling cream, this product has quickly become a staple in my hair care routine. After washing and towel drying my hair, I take a pea sized amount of the cream and work it through my hair, tousling as I go along. The texture is a little tacky during application, but it quickly dries down to a practically invisible product. It leaves hair so soft and touchable you wouldn’t even know a styling product had been used. Since using this product, the texture of my hair has improved, (I have a lovely, healthy, touchable texture) my curls have a little more definition, and I don’t have anywhere near as much frizz.
It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Dual Airbrush Concealer Brush #2
Airbrush concealer brushes are my ultimate favourite for blending concealer, especially underneath the eyes. A quick buff and blend, and the edges of concealer disappear, creating a naturally flawless and seamless effect to makeup. The it Cosmetics Concealer brush has just the right amount of density and softness to perfectly blend concealer on both dark circles and pimples (use a quick, gentle pressing motion with the more dense side and then gently blend out the edges using the softer side) The dual ended brush has protective caps which means you can toss it into your bag for easy on the go use (it also works great for blending out any makeup that has settled or creased throughout the day.
By Terry Lip-Expert Shine Liquid Lipstick
By Terry is definitely a luxe brand, and only one I’ve recently started experimenting with. Their new liquid lipsticks come in both a glossy and matte finish and are very much reminiscent of the original YSL Glossy Stains. With a painstakingly similar scent (and texture) these tinted liquid lipsticks are ultra-creamy and have great pigment. The glossy shade gives full, show-stopping gloss to the lips, the matte shade is not a true matte, in the sense of a fast drying, powder finish liquid lipstick, but rather a creamy, semi-matte finish with a natural creamy hint of shine. The formula itself has a lot of slip, so the finish isn’t the most long lasting, but once the gloss and cream wears off you are left with a stain of colour.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
As someone who suffers from dry lips, I’m always on the prowl for lip care products which do more than just provide a layer of protection to the lips. An ultra-nourishing treatment, the Lanegie Lip Masks are undoubtedly one of the most exciting (and very best) lip treatments I’ve tried. Taking the place of a rich, creamy, and emollient lip balm that is designed to provide ongoing, intensive hydration to the lips. Designed to be used as an overnight, sleeping mask this lip treatment can also be worn during the day when lips need some extra nourishment and hydration. After hours of use the product makes an obvious improvement to the condition of the lips, as texture and flakiness decreases, and lips feel soft, silky, and smooth.

Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint
For some strange reason, it often seems that tinted lip balms dry out my lips rather than hydrating them. Whilst many tinted lip balms may feel comfortable at first, I find once the product has worn off my lips always seem to be quenching for moisture. That was not the case with the Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint, which has instantly become a favourite product of mine! Ultra smooth, buttery and creamy, these tinted lip balms glide over the lips with the uttermost ease, smoothing over texture and any flakiness on the lips. The buttery formula means each lip balm has a beautiful shiny and glossy finish without any stickiness and once the shine has worn away lips are still left with gorgeous subtle stain! The shades are sheer (but still have a little colour) making them perfect for no makeup days and a natural look.
Chantecaille Flower Harmonizing Cream Moisturiser
Chantecaille is a brand that I haven’t personally had much experience with, an odd product here and there, I haven’t really experimented a lot with the brand. Recently I received the Chantecaille Flower Moisturiser and I must say, I’m incredibly impressed. The formula is perfect for drier skin types (like mine) and Is the perfect rich, emollient, and nourishing cream, it is packed full of nutrients, oils, and butters yet it still feels comfortable and lightweight on the skin, with only a small amount needed to give beautiful nourishment to the skin. The scent is on the strong side (read: a deep floral) and is very similar to what you would find from skincare brand Jurlique. After using the cream for the first quarter of the year, I’ve noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin (foundation goes on much smoother) I have no dry and flaky patches, and I wake up with glowing skin without any greasiness.
Weleda Skin Food Lip Balm
Weleda are expanding their famous “Skin Food” line into a range of skincare products, no longer just limited to the all-in-one multi-use product, a body lotion, lip balm, and light variation are three new additions well worth trying. The Skin Food Lip Balm has quickly become a firm favourite of mine, giving major hydration and nourishment to dry lips. The lip balm features all the great attributes of the original skin food. The formula is of a thicker, balmier consistency which really works to lock in moisture and create a barrier to protect the lips. The squeeze tube makes application easy (and much more hygienic than a pot) and it is a fantastic product to use before sleeping.
Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot
Tarte eyeshadows are some of my ultimate favourites (especially the rainforest of the sea collections) I’ve been obsessed with the finger foil eyeshadow palette since it launched a few years ago, and I’m super excited that tarte have launched a similar version in an individual pot form. Super pigmented, these creamy eyeshadows are best applied with the fingertips and give intense, foiled colour with just one swipe across the eyelid. The lighter shades also make beautiful highlighters for not only the inner corners of the eyes, but the face too! Although they have such intense colour pay off, the shadows are still easy enough to blend, and other shadows still layer well over the top. Try and use a synthetic brush to blend for the best results.
Too Faced It’s Bananas Setting Powder
I’ve always been quite hesitant when it comes to banana powders for brightening and setting the skin, having such fair, porcelain skin I’ve found that many banana powders tend to show up as quite yellow on my skin making me look sallow, slightly orange, and ghastly, but the Too Faced Tutti Fruity powder may have changed my opinion on banana powders altogether. The face powder contains 3 “Banana’s” which are dispersed in a sheer, ultra-fine and translucent powder, the two blend together to create a perfectly slightly tinted yellow tone which helps to correct redness and brighten up dull complexions. By having a mix of both shades, you can really alter and customize the colour to suit your preference, picking up a little more of the translucent powder if you tend to be on the fairer side, or concentrating more on the yellow bananas if you lean a little deeper.

Veet Easy-Gelwax Wax Strips
I’m not a fan of going to the salon, but I’m not a big fan of shaving either, so I find that wax strips are often the most convenient, mess-free way to wax my legs. The Veet EasyWax Strips make waxing just that bit easier as each sheet contains a simple cut out which allows you to better grip the hair removal strip for a pain-free wax. Plus the formula is much more gentle than some of the other wax removal strips I’ve tried in the past! Perfect for summer when legs are on show, these leave skin feeling silky and smooth without ingrown hairs, bumpiness, or irritation!
Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint
Easily one of my favourite lip product launches for 2018, the Revlon Cushion Lip Tints are comfortable, lightweight, easy to apply, and look beautiful. With a cushion tip, the product can be applied directly onto the lips and the tapered tip makes it easy to define the cupids bow and other areas of the mouth. The formula is ultra lightweight, smooth, and comfortable, with a slight oil consistency which feels amazing on the lips and provides amazing hydration and nourishment. A subtle vanilla scent and flavour means it doesn’t taste horrible or irritate the lips. The colours are smooth, and the product can be applied lightly for a subtle stained effect or built up for more intensity. Perhaps the best things about this hybrid lip product is its staying power – hours after first applying, and after eating a delicious brunch, the product can still be felt and seen on the lips.
A limited-edition scent from Jo Malone, this is my go-to scent for this holiday season. It’s fresh and woody, but with a burst of citrus which lives things up, giving a really beautiful, and unique scent. Think of pine trees and Christmas baking all wrapped up with a beautiful ribbon. There’s a reason I love Jo Malone fragrances so much, that being because of the innovative, distinctive and universal scents the brand comes up with. This fragrance requires a little more spritzing than some of the other Jo Malone colognes as it’s more of a subtle scent, but if you prefer a more lived in fragrance, then this is definitely one for you.
Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon
Quite truthfully, I haven’t really dived in to and tried much Korean beauty and skincare products and I regret not doing it sooner. The Neogen Dermalogy Bio Peel Gauze have quickly become one of my favourite skincare products for exfoliating. Drenched in a potent liquid chemical exfoliating mixture (an AHA exfoliant of lactic acid to be exact) these chemical exfoliating pads deeply exfoliate the skin without causing dryness, irritation, or redness. One side contains a textured “gauze” side which gives gentle manual exfoliation to the skin, whilst the other contains a quilted side for applying the chemical exfoliant to the skin. After each use my skin looks and feels clean, refreshed, glowing, and beautiful. Texture is less prominent, flaky skin has gone and my makeup looks perfect. 100% one of the very best exfoliating products I have tried these definitely get my tick of approval.
Inika Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Duo Platinum Steel
Not necessarily a “new” product per say, but a staple one. A top favourite of mine for creating smoky eyes, the Inika Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Duo in the Smoky variation is a quality product that anyone can use regardless of their skill level. Containing one deep dark and smoky charcoal shade and a silvery shimmer it’s smoky eyes in a flash with just two shadows! Apply the darkest at the base of the lashes and blend the shimmery shade above and tap a little onto the center of the eyelid for a gorgeous shimmering effect. The shadows are smoky, smooth, and have great pigmentation (for best results apply with your fingers)

Milky Foot Exfoliation Pads
Chemical foot peels are a product that is both satisfying and kind of grotesque at the same time, but they’re also super effective! I recently tried the Milky Foot foot peel, and I must say the results were definitely impressive. I’ve tried many foot peels in the past and besides the odd one or two most have been fails (as in my feet never even peeled!) with the Milky Foot Foot peel however, the results came through within just three days when my feet had started to peel, by day 5 my feet were shedding like a snake! The intense AHA/BHA combination did not irritate my skin (and I am generally quite prone to irritation) nor did the peeling irritate my feet. It gave results, removed rough skin from my feet (which have kind of been tormented since I walked what felt like 1000km when I visited NYC last year) and left my feet looking and feeling silky, smooth, and healthy. What more can you ask for?
Drunk Elephant T.L.C Glycolic Night Serum
Drunk Elephant is definitely one of the most popular skincare brands of the moment, and it’s no surprise why, their products are effective and contain ingredients which are scientifically proven to benefit skin. Admittedly I haven’t tried a lot of products from the brand, but from what I have tried I have loved. The Drunk Elephant TLC Serum for example has become one of my favourite skincare products, although I do not use the serum each night (I find the concentration of AHA’s and BHA’s can be a bit intense for my sensitive skin) I do use it twice a week and occasionally use it as a mask (washing it off after 5 minutes) the serum instantly refreshes the skin and helps to improve skin texture and appearance. I can report that my skin looks better, feels better, and that my makeup applies smoother! I have also found this serum to be a fantastic product for use on scars as the chemical exfoliating action help to increase cell turnover, I’ve been using it daily on my legs and have seen a noticeable difference.
Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel
I’ve never really been a huge fan of clear brow gels (I often find them a little sticky and thick) but tinted brow gels on the other hand, I LOVE. The Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel in particular is one of my favourites, and a newer addition to makeup routine in the past few months, it has good hold, feels lightweight, and really does make the brows look thicker. The formula has a well dispersed amount of fibers which cling to brow hairs and work to create a fuller look without appearing to artificial or unnatural. The lightweight texture lasts all day with comfortable hold and doesn’t flake off or smudge and the dual-sided brush allows you to build up the product and concentrate it on any sparse areas. I’ve even used it previously to fill in my brows using an angled brush when I accidentally forgot to pack my brow pencil on a short trip - the results were fantastic! Whilst the Hourglass Brow Gel doesn’t necessarily replace my holy grail Too Faced Brow Quickie Gel (I find the formula is more thickening and it gives a more feathery look to the brows) it is definitely one of my favourites that remains on rotation!
BeautyBlender Bounce Long Wear Liquid Whip Foundation
BeautyBlender Bounce has been one of the most hyped up foundation launches of the past 12 months, and for good reason. It’s amazing! Easily one of the best foundations I have ever tried, BeautyBlender Bounce exceeded all my expectations and has easily cemented itself as one of my staple, go-to foundations. For years I’ve been searching for a perfect alternative to Rimmel Match Perfection Light Reflecting Radiance Foundation (Ever since it was discontinued) and I’m pleased to say that I’ve finally found it. The ultra lightweight whipped texture means this foundation easily applies, and smooths over the skin (and any imperfections) with absolute ease all whilst feeling light as a feather. The foundation gives medium to full coverage with absolute ease, but can also be sheered down to a more natural level, regardless of what level you like your coverage, the foundation doesn’t cake or look heavy and unnatural. The finish is absolutely beautiful and gave me an airbrushed, flawless and perfected look, it’s not too matte, but not too shiny either so it doesn’t make the skin look dry or greasy. I was able to find a match for my porcelain skin, and I found the staying power impressive. All in all it’s a great foundation. Too Faced Peach My Cheeks Melting Powder Blush
I must admit I was pretty skeptical about these cream blushes when I first saw them. The product is definitely interesting and unique. Formulated as a “cream blush” which instantly transforms into a lightweight powder when applied, they aren’t anywhere near as complicated as they sound. The unique formula is smooth, buttery, pigmented, and easily blendable which are all things that help make a great blush. The powder finish gives a natural radiant finish to the skin, unlike most cream blushes it gives a very subtle matte finish, which looks silky smooth, but isn’t quite as dry or chalky as a powder. Almost sort of like a putty, blurring powder formula, it can be confusing to identify exactly what sort of blush this is (and what way it should be applied) I found these cream blushes work best when applied with a buffing brush, just a simple swipe over the product with a brush and then a sweep over the cheeks followed by a quick buff, the blushes give a really gorgeous subtle, natural looking flush of colour to the cheeks. The cream-powder formula also gives this product really great staying power. There are six shades in the range, and I’ve found Peach Dream to be the most beautiful natural shade on my porcelain skin.

SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Body Wash
As someone with sensitive skin I have to be especially cautious about the body care products I use, body wash in particular. Although not the most glamorous beauty product, it is one that’s a daily essential. The SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Body Wash is my current go-to body wash and product of choice that constantly remains in my shower. With a soft, “clean” scent, it gently cleanses the skin without any irritation and leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated. Enriched with Shea Butter and free of harsh ingredients like sulphates, it’s such a nourishing formula that one could even forgo the body lotion. Somehow this amazing formula even manages to leave beautiful, subtle glossy glow to the shoulders and legs.
Yes To SnapStick Charcoal Face Mask
It’s not very often that I get this excited about a product (especially since I try so many) but the Yes To Tomatoes SnapStick mask is easily one of my favourite beauty launches of 2018. Packaged in an easy to use stick, this charcoal face mask can be applied in just 60 seconds without any mess (no messy fingers or face mask brushes needed) the mask dries within 10 minutes, deeply cleansing and helping to draw out impurities from the skin. It has quickly become a must-have in my skincare routine and a part of my weekly ritual. With a face mask this easy to use available there really is no excuse not to give your skin a bit of a treat, it’s so foolproof you could even apply it without a mirror.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter
On days when I can’t be bothered with a full face of makeup, but still want to give my skin a little pick me up I tend to reach for a light reflecting, illuminating primer (Laura Mercier Radiance Primer is my ultimate fave) Recently I’ve been loving the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter which rides the line between an illuminating primer and a tinted moisturiser. The formula contains high amounts of ultra-fine, pearlescent shimmers which give a really beautiful ethereal, lilt-within look which is subtle enough to be worn all over the face. It smooths and blends over the skin with absolute ease, blurs imperfections, and hydrates without looking greasy or overly shimmery. Use it as a primer, a highlighter, or mixed in with foundation (this plus the Magic Foundation is a dream combination)
Lanolips Hydrating Lip Luminiser
Lanolips have long been a favourite brand of mine when it comes to lip care. A cult Aussie fave (both in Australia and around the world) the medical grade lanolin range of lip products (and now skincare) does a fantastic job at protecting and nourishing. The Lanolips Lip Luminisers are a new addition to the brand and one that I’m absolutely loving. I’ve long been a fan of the Tinted Balms with SPF, and these are definitely a great addition to the range. Consisting of two shades (Beach Pop and Desert Glow) these sheer tinted lip balms are loaded with beautiful iridescent shimmer which catches the light, giving a plump effect and making the lips look larger. Ultra hydrating, nourishing, and creamy a mix of plant oils and lanolin glide over the lips and leave them with a glossy finish. Try them as a highlighter on the cheekbones or on the cheeks for a gorgeous glossy, shimmer-packed glow.
Jurlique Nail and Cuticle Treatment Oil
For many years I neglected my nails, but in the past few I’ve become just a little bit obsessed with nail care. Beautiful, well-groomed, healthy nails that extend just past the fingertips in an oval shape make me swoon. Although I don’t necessarily tend to experiment much (nude nail polish is more my thing) I’m adamant on having healthy nails. Each night I apply cuticle oil onto my nails & cuticles for optimal nail health. My current go-to is the Jurlique Nail and Cuticle Treatment Oil. An ultra rich and decadent formula, the oil has the most beautiful botanical scent, much like a luxurious hand lotion. With over 5 oils and a range of natural extracts, the oil is so concentrated it resembles a balm of sorts when first applied, acting as a barrier as the ingredients work to deeply nourish nails and cuticles. From the first use it soothes inflamed cuticles and hydrates the nails, and for those who regularly wear gel nails, it even helps to treat fixing peeling, cracking, ridges, and brittleness.
I’m always trying beauty products, and as a result, I’m always asked what my favourite products are, so here I’m bringing you “Evangeline’s Edition”, a round up of the current products that I’m obsessed with and give my tick of approval.
Trilogy Rosehip Oil Transformation Cleansing Oil
Trilogy have long been a favourite brand of mine, with high quality ingredients and effective skincare they’re undoubtedly one of the best natural skincare brands on the market. A few years ago they launched their Makeup Breakup Cleansing Balm which has been a staple in my skincare routine since its launch. Just recently the brand has added a cleansing oil to the mix, and needless to say - it’s amazing! This rich cleansing oil starts off with a slightly greasy consistency on the skin which works to dissolve thick makeup and waterproof mascara. When it comes to rinse off time, the product perfectly emulsifies with water, turning into a milky consistency making rinse off super easy. Makeup is removed and skin feels supple and hydrated.

Kat Burki Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream
Sometimes with skincare it’s good to strip back to the basics and use a product that works without an excessive amount of fuss. The Kat Burki Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream has been a favourite of mine over the past month, and a real staple in my routine. The product is rich and creamy, yet feels incredibly lightweight on the skin, it instantly absorbs allowing you to move onto the next step in your skincare or makeup routine. It’s free of all your nasties like parabens and mineral oil making it perfect for those with sensitive skin. It’s nourishing, clean, soothing, and hydrating. It’s the perfect everyday moisturiser, and hydrates the skin, softens and gives a bit of a glow and plumpness. It’s effective, it works, and it’s something that every skintype could use.
Viseart Petit PRO Eyeshadow Palette
Viseart Eyeshadows are a lust worthy makeup item (with a hefty price tag nonetheless) this mini “Petit Pro Eeyeshadow Palette” is the ideal product for anyone who wants to try the brand and their eyeshadows without splashing out the big bucks. Soft and smooth, these eyeshadows definitely live up to the hype. The texture isn’t necessarily buttery or ultra creamy, it’s perfectly balanced meaning there is little to no kick back and very minimal fallout when applied to the eyes. The pigmentation is good, and the mattes are smooth, pigmented and consistent (which can often be difficult to find in a matte eyeshadow) The best thing of all about these eyeshadows though? They’re blend-ability. Just one quick swipe with a fluffy brush and the shadows effortlessly blend with no harsh lines in sight. There’s no need to spend 15 minutes buffing out a dark shadow and having it go patchy with these shadows, they’re just not capable of it. It’s almost impossible NOT to blend them!
Essence Glow Like Glow Setting Powder
If you love Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, or anything of a similar sort, then you will love this limited edition Glow Setting Powder from Essence “glow like” trend edition. A baked formula, this “marbled” setting powder is smooth, buttery, and silky fine. It applies and blends to the face like a dream. Designed as a setting powder, the sheer, translucent powder gives a subtle glow to the skin, giving a “lit-within” look, and a softened, airbrush finish to the skin. Much like Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders they can be used to: set the entire face, a portion of the face, or on the highest points of the face for a sheer and subtle highlight.

The Zoo Scent Tattoo
I picked up this fragrance on a recent trip to New York City, as I wanted a scent to remind me of the city and its moments. I was searching for the perfect fragrance and stumbled into a cute little boutique called Maison 10 (If you’re ever in NYC check it out, the staff are friendly, there is always something new, and 10% of your purchase goes to a charity of your choosing) Scent Tattoo was the first scent I trialed and I immediately envisioned a chic woman in killer heels and a gorgeous dress jumping out of a cab. This fragrance screams “New York City woman” to me. It’s sultry, rich, warm, and masculine yet also has a hint of femininity. Notes of musk, sandalwood, and leather make the fragrance unique, deep and distinctive whilst a splash of grapefruit and blackcurrant freshen things up, and balance everything out nicely. It’s far from what I’d usually pick or choose to wear in fragrance, but that just makes me love it even more. Even more interesting: this fragrance is designed to be worn on your clothing (the notes work best this way) so it’s perfect for people with skin that’s sensitive to fragrance.
Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara
This mascara was featured in a recent article on our site, and for good reason. It’s quite honestly one of the best mascaras I’ve ever tried. My lashes fall on the flatter side, but this baby gives them length, lift, volume, and drama in just one coat. In the numerous times I’ve worn this lately, I’ve been asked what false lashes I’m wearing repeatedly. As you can probably guess, I’m in-love, and totally recommend it. A+ for sure. La Mer Luminous Lifting Cushion Foundation
For years I’ve been searching for a replacement of my favourite, HG, and sadly now discontinued Rimmel Match Perfection Light Reflecting Radiance Foundation. La Mer may not be the closest comparison in terms of price, but the formula is painstakingly similar (read, amazing) It gives the most beautiful, gorgeous, luminous glow to the skin, provides a medium, buildable coverage and smooths over textured skin (bye bye pores) See a full before and after review of the La Mer Cushion Foundation on our site.
BeautyBlender InstaClean
There’s a fine line between gimmicky and innovative, this product falls somewhere in the middle. I’ve personally never been a fan of spot cleaning (I find it takes me just as long to give my makeup brushes a quick wash as it does to spot clean them, and spot cleaning never gets all the product out) but this product has completely changed that. Whilst you do need an awful lot of product go get a perfect clean (there’s no telling how long this small 60ml bottle will last) it is effective. Spritz it over a dense kabuki brush used with foundation, and it instantly dissolves product... Wipe it over some paper towel (or as I prefer a face washer cloth, the material helps work the cleanser in) and let it dry for 10-15 minutes or so. It’s a must for anyone who finds spot cleaning tedious and ineffective.
Chantecaille Pure Rosewater
A product that smells like pure Turkish delight? Yes please. This is one of the purest rosewater’s on the market and completely free of added, synthetic fragrances. Perfect for use after cleansing to soften and hydrate skin, this rosewater restores dull skin, locks in hydration, and helps to soothe irritation. It’s also perfect for refreshing makeup throughout the day or providing a quick boost of hydration to polluted skin. I’ve noticed such a difference in the texture and tone of my skin since incorporating this into my routine, and it’s one of the few “water” products I’ve tried that I feel actually does something.
