18/05/26 — evening brain dump ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

my brain kind of refused to work today, oof. managed to complete all tasks from my to-do list anyway but i think i’ll dedicate tomorrow to some proper rest. still want to work on the final project on 민화 though!

the biggest event was (of course) korean. we summarized the topic 민화 and have started a new one. it might sound a bit surprising but we’re going to work with a text on infant feeding with severe mental illness which she wrote based on the article i talked about here a week ago. it’s been very interesting so far !!

cool discovery of the day: “on understanding art” by w. kandinsky. i couldn’t find any english translations, unfortunately… but i’ve discovered a lot to think about in this article. he says that “there is no greater evil than understanding art” (“to understand” here means “to know what instruments the artist used to express the ‘inner’”). kandinsky believes that a regular viewer of art must not think but feel the piece before them, otherwise the distance between them will be only bigger.

going to sleep now. i really should’ve gone to bed earlier, oops! goodnight!

01/07/26 — evening brain dump ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

Now that June is over, time to go back to evening brain dumps! ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ

I didn't stay at the hospital all morning today, but I met my friend there and we talked for about an hour, it was nice! I got to give the little gift I prepared for them, too.

The only studying I did today was writing a plan of and reviewing an article by W. Kandinsky. It took me about 30 minutes. But I think changing my medical treatment doesn't allow me to study much at this moment... (•́ ᴖ •̀)

Other nice things from today include: journaling + an evening walk in the park. I've started a book journal and I'm really excited! It inspires me to read more, too.

˚. ᵎᵎ Cool discovery of the day: found a recording of Tanzduett from the opera Hänsel und Gretel from 1906(!!) on Internet Archive. It's fascinating to be able to hear a song performed by people who lived 120 years before you. I haven't listened to the full opera yet, but I'll look it up tomorrow.

07/07/26 — evening brain dump ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

oops, i keep forgetting to take any pictures during the day ^_^" luckily, i have some this time !!

the biggest news is, my uni phoned me to tell what documents i needed to prepare in advance. so, i guess, i’m going back this autumn, and it’s almost official now!

other than that, i think i was extremely productive today. i didn’t spend it all studying, but instead i cooked for myself, cleaned my room a bit, crocheted, hung out in the gc, went for a walk and read a book… so, i think i had a nice time :)

cool discovery of the day: i finished the chapter on Adolph Diesterweg, and it was a very interesting one. he believed that the results of teaching completely depend on the teacher and their personality so they must be energetic, determined and always educate themselves, for it is a life-long process. i’ve started working on the comparison table of all the teachers i read about, too. exciting !!

i’m thinking about properly planning my day tomorrow, but we’ll see how it goes. i need to go to bed now, so goodnight! <3

01/06/26 — evening brain dump ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

oh, i had a really physically exhausting day today! we went to the countryside to plant the sprouts and it took us a while to get there and return back home. still, i was excited because i got to see so many cool bugs! ⋆˚࿔ (do you know how much i love insects?!)

i was trying to read in the car but failed. felt like staring out of the car window instead... haven't been in the mood for books lately.

in the evening i had enough energy to study korean. i've learnt quite a lot of new words and read the material i needed for the new final project. i'm going to plan it properly tomorrow, i have no idea what i'm doing now, oops.

cool discovery of the day: copper sun jumper (Heliophanus cupreus), a species of spiders that i've encountered today in the countryside ♡ my friend said it looked like a jewelry in the picture i posted on my main! oh, and, apparently, it was a female. so exciting to learn more about little creatures !!

i'm going to remove sunscreen now and read before bed. overall, it was quite a nice day, i think. hope tomorrow brings even more reasons to stay curious!

02/07/26 — evening brain dump ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

today was eventful! i went to the hospital by public transport, had 3 group there, went back home… it was exhausting, both physically and emotionally. but i met my friend there again and they gifted me a cute handmade bracelet! i’m going to wear it again tomorrow <3

i took notes of the chapter on pestalozzi, which was a really interesting one, but it was still difficult for me to focus on it. i want to read his publications one day, even though his methods of teaching weren’t very thought through. i think it’s great to learn more about the history of didactics and, you know, have a whole picture?

and i’ve been slowly reading circe by madeline miller! it’s not the type of book i’d normally read, i think. it feels like it a teenager would enjoy it more, probably, but i want to finish it for my reading bingo + the postcard exchange group i’m participating in this july :)

˚. ᵎᵎ cool discovery of the day: we discussed how to keep yourself safe in such heat at one of the groups, and i was glad that the social worker didn’t just talk about humans but explained how to help you pets too. i didn’t know you’re not supposed to shower your dogs in hot weather, even though my family doesn’t do it anyway. turns out water / wet fur makes it impossible for them to cool down. but letting your dogs swim is fine because some of their body parts remain dry.

i want to go to bed earlier today, so goodnight! and i’m excited to greet friday tomorrow~

28/05/26 — evening brain dump ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

today wasn’t as full of studying as i expected, but i still think i did quite a good job? ^_^ well, at least i don’t blame myself for doing less, or trying not to.

i had an extra lesson of korean this morning which went well! the next one is tomorrow at 10am so i need to go to bed earlier tonight to be ready for it.

cleaned my desk (finally!) so i’m feeling fresh and content with my surroundings :)

oh, and i’ve found a newer edition of the text-book i’ve been working with so i’m really excited to see all the difference !!

21/05/26 — evening brain dump ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

i’m really tired today… but i managed to do quite a lot so i can’t help but feel happy~

the final project on 민화 is officially done! i’m going to present it tomorrow morning, so i’m a bit nervous and, at the same time, confident in my work <3 i know i did my best preparing the material and a power point presentation so i hope my teacher will enjoy it too.

today’s korean went great! i told my teacher about the main news from my fandoms (in korean, of course) and then we went on with our current topic. i’ve highlighted sooo many words, i think i’m going to have to pick out the most important ones later!..

and it was the third day of our online book club’s discussion of anna karenina organized by me. so many thoughts keep coming from all the members, i’m happy to see their passion !! i wonder what will happen in the second part of the book :)

i’m falling asleep while writing this so goodnight! sweet dreams everyone~

08/07/26 — evening brain dump ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

another uni update: i talked to the doctors at the hospital today and they promised to prepare all the documents i need in time. it makes me both nervous and excited to think about the end of my 2 year long break (ᵕ ó ᴗ ò) i need to pass a few exams that i missed back then first too, and to be honest, i have no idea how i'm going to do that... but i hope it'll go well!

today was a productive day again. i finished crocheting cherry the strawberry-loving prince (in the picture!) and started another big project. i got to read several chapters of circe by madeline miller as well and, i must admit, half way into the book and i think i'm finally a bit invested in the story.

i finished the draft version of my comparison table of the pedagogues i learnt about (John Amos Comenius, Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, Johann Friedrich Herbart, Adolph Diesterweg). now i want to do more research besides the book i use and add more info into the final product ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

˚. ᵎᵎ cool discovery of the day: found out that Comenius' School of Infancy is fully published on Wikisource! this essay is dedicated to the first 6 years of childhood, and i'm really curious to see what this teacher from the 17th century had to say about it, especially since he combined religious and scientific thoughts in his works.
